Ordered their crab, beef, and spicy squid and every single bite was incredible. I personally loved the crab — the flavors were amazing — but my date did not so much who I’d consider an adventurous eater. Highly recommend the dish if you’re prepared for a somewhat gelatinous texture. I enjoyed it and ate the whole thing!
Braised cod, galbi jim was delicious. The raw crab for $61 wasn't worth it to me.
I didn’t wait too long to get a seat. The raw marinated crab is a bit below my expectation since it seems the crabs is not marinated for enough time. It’s a bit plain. After having it, I feel a bit irritated in my mouth.
A small place, waited about 30 minutes for a seat. We ordered while waiting, so when we were seated the food came right away. Pleasant workers.
Soban was SO BAD. I came because I heard great things about this place, with the parasite fame and Michelin guide, but my experience was absolutely terrible.Their signature dish, the soy marinated raw crab, does not taste fresh. The soy marinade tasted one dimensional and got too salty after a few bites. I have eaten this dish at various places in the past, and it’s one of my favorite dishes but the one at Soban was so bad that it made me doubt that I ever liked it before. They also didn’t give the backshell of the crab, which I think is the most delicious part so I was very disappointed. We also ordered the tofu stew and it was also not good, especially compared to other places in KTOWN.The service of the restaurant was also extremely slow. I understand that there is a general shortage of workers but we sat there for over 45 minutes before we got water.Overall, it was not a good dining experience.

I came here for the soy sauce crabs and I was not disappointed. It was pricey but the crab was large and very fresh!Lots of banchans too! I loved the diversity.
