Ordered spicy fog, but too much oil and not very spicy for me. The only vegetable is cucumbers. Maybe I should try other dishes next time.
Very authentic Sichuan food, highly recommend it! Not as oily as other Chinese spicy food, but it’s so tasty. Also great service and super clean facility everywhere. Will want to come back again to try more delicious food.
Cannot get enough of this place. Fantastic food across the board. The fish dishes and the glass noodles are heavenly ??️?
Grabbed food to go with some coworkers. Let them do the ordering as one is from Sichuan province. Food was pretty good, but not great. A fried chicken dish was probably the star of the show, a choy dish was also very good. Pork ribs with garlic were ok, rabbit was a bit dry and the chicken feet were sweeter and had a heavy breading. Have not had chicken feet like that, and would not order them again prepared that way. Would eat here again, but wasn't blown away.
We love Sichuan cuisine, so during a recent visit to LA, we were thrilled to find Sichuan Impression so close to our West Los Angeles hotel. The reviews looked good, so we headed to a nondescript strip mall, climbed the stairs to the second floor, and entered a large dining room filled with Asian diners (always a good sign). We ordered two appetizers, both of which I heartily recommend: Grandma’s Pickled Cucumbers, served quartered and sprinkled with chilis and peppercorns and drenched in a rich soy-based sauce, and a cold egg noodle dish garnished with scallions, finely diced chicken and a rich soy-based sauce unlike the sesame paste or peanut butter sauces I’m used to getting at other Chinese restaurants. This mixture is by far the best cold noodles I’ve had. For our entrées, the Tea Smoked Pork Ribs, garnished with chilies, scallions, and peanuts, were meaty and flavorful. Just the right amount of smokiness for my taste. The Ma-po Tofu was packed with cubes of tofu, minced beef, peppercorn powder, and garlic sprouts, all smothered in a thin, spicy broth made with fermented broad bean, fermented black beans, and chili paste. The wait staff was knowledgeable, efficient, and pleasant. They graciously found me a pair of wooden chopsticks to use, as I have difficulty maneuvering the slippery, oversized plastic ones.
I ordered takeout of this kidney dish and cucumber salad. The kidney looked red and did not even look closed as cooked!! I had to try to cook it by myself but guess what!? After 10 mins trying to get it cooked, the kidney still look so raw and red. Even when I bit into it, the inside was also bloody looking!! It was disgusting and made me realize that they used some red-element injected kidney that probably might have expired long time ago! As for the cucumber salad, I forgot to take a photo but the cucumber also looked like used as the skin did not look intact. I ordered 2 dishes and got the both pretty low quality! Not going to come back again. I’m still trying to call them for a refund, but it’s been another day, no one picked up the phone from the restaurant…
Excellent authentic Chinese food. Staff was always on the go. We will definitely return.
The restaurant is located in level 2 . It has outdoor seating. Food was very good but bit pricey. Parking could be bit challenging during peak hours due to limited spots. Service was excellent.

The food is okay and nothing impressive. The service was kinda disappointing. We ordered minimum spicy but was given really spicy food. We were trying to confirm with the staff while the lady was insisting “ yes they’re minimum spicy” seeing us sweating from the spicy food. We eat spicy food often and the tolerance is high, so please be honest to your customer.
