We were nicely surprized by the quality and friendliness of this restaurant that during our stay we visited it 3 times. The service was great, the rolls excellent. A great variety of choices of sushi, ramen, fish and meat. Wine and beers for a reasonable price! We certainly recommend this place.
We had a great time coming here for lunch a couple of times. Really enjoyed the atmosphere, the food and the service (thank you Nick!). Definitely recommend coming to Shin Ramen!
I have eaten at Shin Hollywood many time. Their sushi and ramen are amazing. My favorite include dragon roll, hamachi collar, any of the lobster dishes and brussell sprouts. Highly recommended.
My sister and I were in the mood of some ramen and we spotted this place. The kotteri miso ramen was filling and delicious. Portions are big (at least for European standards). As an appetiser we had the gyozas which were also extremely tasty. Not to forget the mention the super friendly staff. Highly recommended!
Take the time to seek out this little gem and you won't be disappointed. Not your average 'strip mall' eatery, Shin is elegant-yet-fun, lovely without being fussy. The staff are amazing and the food innovated, reasonably priced and seriously delicious. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this wonderful restaurant and can't wait to return!
When I got to the end of the star walk in Hollywood, this place was the first restaurant I saw. The food came quick and was delicious. The owner was there checking on the customers and had answers to all the questions we had. Excellent in every way.
I know good, authentic Japanese food and I have a hard time finding a restaurant that satisfies what I used to eat as I was growing up. My mother was an amazing cook and taught me what is correct versus short-cut. Shin is the real deal. I've tasted the sauces, the tempura, the sushi and the ramen. They are very, very good -- even better than mom (and I know she's rolling in her grave right now). This is a small, out-of-the-way restaurant that should be lauded for food and service. While I love telling everyone about them, I fear they'll get too busy! Trust me, though. If you want delicious, authentic Japanese food, go to Shin's.
Excellent food. Ramen was top notch and was happy to see a variety of option w noodles including vegan. Sushi was yummy and prices were affordable. Very very happy with my meal.
The sushi is good but this venue DOES NOT justify their prices. Also the portions are very small. I spent 50 hucks on a sashimi and nigiri combo and wasn't even half full. But again taste wise it's good
SO GOOD. We had an amazing meal here. The service was also great, such a kind waitress. Next time I’ll try one of the soju milkshakes.
