Rating 4.3The broth was done well and good selection of toppings. The Chashu was a little on the dry side and felt like it did not abosorb the flavors.Overall it was good a ramen spot with a nice vibe and friendly staff.

Savory food and excellent lunch specials!!

There's was about a 20min wait to get seated, but because they use an online waitlist you can just wonder around the plaza until your number is texted.I got the cold noodles and while they were a little heavy with the ginger it tasted really good! Definitely reccomend it if you want something lighter than ramen.Wish they offered napkins but they did give napkins when asked.

Great place to dine for lunch and dinner. If you want to save money don't deviate from the menu. Just order the lunch/dinner menu/specials. We added Additional ingredients and the cost of the lunch doubled. I am not complaining. The Additional ingredients made the Ramen taste epic. Please experience this restaurant for your self and you will understand. I enjoyed Shin-Sen-Gumi Hakata Ramen "Los Angeles Little Tokyo" Restaurant.

すごい! Best Hakata style ramen I’ve had since Japan. From service to food Shinsengumi is a must try. Also, I didn’t catch her name, but the girl working as hostess + server was one of the hardest working people I’ve seen in the service industry in a long time. She was super helpful and friendly!! Will return when we’re back in LA.

Super delicious. It seems to be busy at pretty much all times but their wait list mechanism -20 to 30 mins - makes it very easy to go for a stroll around little Tokyo. Prices are more than fine and the cuisine is marvelous.

My friend hyped up this place so we took a trip and tried it. I was disappointed. It wasn't what I was expecting. I've had better service. The place is kinda dirty too.

This is heaven for Ramen and spicy food lovers. We spent hours here and dropped the most expensive tab ever. And it was worth it. Great sake and beer options, great noodles, And the mochi, oh my goodness. Service was great, good parking, will absolutely be back.

Stopped by for a quick lunch recently. I’ve had their lunch combo for $14 which has the bowl of ramen and a small beef rice bowl. Add-ons are extra. The ramen and the rice bowl both tasted delicious. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the server did a fantastic job. The area is also close to the Japanese Village Plaza.

Came here with family on a rainy day. They have umbrellas propped up outside of the restaurant, so it wasn't too bad but the queue was extremely long. We were given an e-ticket with an estimated time of return, which was helpful, but we waited for almost 3/4 of an hour before we were given a table (we arrived at 3 pm). The food came in small portions and for a hefty fee, but you can definitely taste the amount of effort put into each dish. I'd recommend getting the Hakata Ramen (with the default toppings/soup), but I would avoid eating the fried dumplings. They tasted very well, but were extremely small and didn't justify the charged price. They do have outdoor seating and do accommodate large groups of people, which was great for us, as we were able to bring a pet with us. In regard to COVID policy, they do require proof of vaccination and masks regardless of vaccine status.
