Went to Shamshiri Grill with some friends and it was delicious! They started us off with some pita & fresh veggies before we started ordering. Order the Tahdig early because they might run out if you're too late!Starters:- Tahdig with Ghormeh Sabzi Stew (3/5): Wasn't for me - was a little more bitter & sour than I was expecting, but one of my friends really enjoyed it- Tahdig with Gheymeh (5/5): This was fantastic! Definitely enjoyed the fries on topRices:- Zereshk Polo (3/5): Wasn't for me - the barberries were also a little more sour than I was expecting, but it was fun trying a new style of rice- Lubia Polo (4/5): This was quite good, especially paired with the beef koobideh! We got this with our order of the Salmon.Meats:- Joojeh Kabob (5/5): I managed to grab only a wing before this was all gone, but it was so tender and delicious!- Beef Barg (4.5/5): Was super juicy and well-seasoned, but honestly preferred the Koobideh, although maybe it's because I had this when I was already full to the brim- Beef Koobideh (5/5): I couldn't stop eating this! Also super tender & flavorful- Salmon (5/5): I almost never order fish when I go out, but this was amazing- Neck of Lamb (4.5/5): This was the meat we ordered with the Zereshk Polo, and the meat was so soft! I definitely felt like it was gamier than I was expecting though
Excellent food, great atmosphere.
It was my first time in a Persian Restaurant. I enjoyed it.The lunch specials include soup (usually lentil) and a choice of salad, warm pita bread, mint, radish, and onions.I had Shawarma Platter Beef, the Babaganoosh and, Hummus was perfect for flavor. My friend had Lamb Neck. The waiter (FARSHID) was delightful and helpful in describing and explaining the items on the menu and making suggestions. The portions are enormous!
Shamshiri Grill is one of the best restaurant in LA. All I wanted was great Kebab and they had it. Also their hospitality and service was awesome. I would definitely recommend everyone to try this restaurant.
The Shamshiri Chicken is great! There are vegan options, as well.
great food great atmosphere and great service
Another incredible Persian restaurant. Loved the Persian tea. Ghormeh sabzi was an excellent dish. Service is decent, they accommodated a request of mine.
One of the best Persian restaurants in area. Every time I visit LA I go to Shamshiri for delicious and flavourful white fish with herb rice. Until next time!
I have always come to this place for years. We were here for lunch and the owners and staff were near our table discussing Uber, San Diego, and other personal matter in a very loud voice.I asked the waiters to ask them to lower their voices. They continued the same.I went over and asked them to lower their voices. They did not even apologize or acknowledge me.They continued to speak, this time louder. We paid for the food and left without eating it.I shall never enter this establishment.
The food is amazing we have been going there for 20 years but we were not treated nice last night when we ordered food for pickup. We ordered for pick up over the phone and then we asked them if there was a possibility someone bringing the food to the front door of the restaurant because of recent injury I had and the girl on the phone yes for sure, once we arrived they let us sit in the car for almost 15 minutes and then we called them to check status the girl said oh sorry Im not bringing it out for you you will need to come inside and grab it. Basically they made me walk all the way to the front with a injured leg to pickup my food.
