LOVE THIS O.G. Silverlake standout. Trader Joes’s items are cheap, canola-oil packed wanna-be versions of the beautifully-curated tasty morsels in this shop. The owner lives in Silverlake and knows his stuff. We love supporting this small, African-American-owned business.
I'd post a picture of the after, since I neglected to do the before, but we got a really fantastic platter that added a lot to our Christmas brunch. The mix was right on: all the classics and no pretense. Wonderful place we'll be back to again.
I've been coming to Say Cheese for about 5-6 years now. Hands down one of the best hidden gems in the neighborhood. Wonderful local business, amazing sandwiches and amazing products.
Amazing authentic cheese spot. My first time here and I cannot get enough. I was lucky enough to meet the owner who was just so friendly and helpful. I recommend the grilled cheese worth every penny!!!
Say Cheese is truly a neighborhood - and Los Angeles - treasure. Glenn and his staff not only stock excellent cheese, wines, and other delectable discoveries, but his cafe side also produces excellent meals. One of my favorites, the Le Parisian sandwich, will make you crave another on a random Tuesday. Order a cheeseboard, stock up for everyday, and stop in for some food. Silver Lake and the surrounding neighborhoods are so lucky to have a little slice of Europe at their beck and call.

Having shopped here for years, Say Cheese is an eastside treasure for cheeses, other wonderful goodies and a small selection of well priced wines. If owner Glenn is there, you will be in expert, gracious hands. Ask for samples and let him guide you to the cheese you want. Don't be surprised if you come in looking for one cheese and walk out with three.
