I was getting my phone fixed across the street and had an hour and a half to kill. Was glad to see the sign for this little coffee shop in the mall at the corner of Western and Beverly. Walked in and was greeted warmly. This place is ADORABLE and the coffee is the BOMB! Lots of unique speciality coffees and teas and unusual offerings. The cortado was a perfect smooth blend of coffee beans from Australia. The music playing was a chill mix, and there's a sweet little outside balcony. It was a pleasure to spend some time here and get some work done.
Very weird coffee shop that kind of feels like grandmas house during they day. Dim, big comfy chairs, mismatched furniture, and everything has that vaguely faded look to it. I do come for those circle waffles - a favorite, and the wifi is reliable and there are lots of outlets. Great food too. Just so dim grandma why don't you ever open the curtains.
I love it! People are super nice, the coffee is so cute and it's good tooI love how they pay attention to details and their unique flavor
So cute and such a fun place to study or chat with friends! I ordered the birthday cake latte, and my friend ordered the red velvet latte. Both were incredible! I personally like my lattes on the sweeter side, so the birthday cake latte was perfect :) I had a sip of my friend's latte as well, and I loved it as well!
Just found this gem yesterday and have been here twice in less than 24hr now. Very homey feeling, courtyard with trees and heat lamps, connected indoor/outdoor area with couches and tables...the hands-down BEST gluten free muffins I've ever had!
Amazing food. Always. We are here all the time. The restaurant maybe could use so updating and cleaning but the food and freshness of ingredients and the staff are all on point. We go for the food and are always happy.
The ambiance, quality of the tea and the service were all great. The owner said how teas are crafted carefully by hands. I really loved Oo Ung Cha which was one of the best I had. I was impressed most of the art works are done by the owner. Such a sweet spot for Korean teas!
The room and the piano music were beautiful. A wonderful Sunday afternoon.
Vintage looking hotel built 1922 with a somewhat Gothic+Victorian old school charm. Beautiful interior design that seems to have stood the test of time. Everyone seems to love how old and untainted-by-modern-days this place is. Stepping from outside in, going through their main door is like being transported back in time instantly to the 1920s. 3-tier set with a choice of tea (the Caramel Oolong was lovely), amuse bouche (Chocolate coated Strawberry), additional special dessert (Coconut Panna Cotta) and Prosecco. Am surprised the Prosecco is free flow, no wonder the price. Food quality is passable, though presentation was exquisite. Scone was not warmed, the bread in the finger sandwiches a little dry as if they’ve been prepared since morning. Sweets were good, the Pistachio cake had a little taste of Almond which I don’t really like. On the other hand, I normally don’t like Panna Cotta but this one was a nice surprise that I enjoyed. The best one for me was the cake pop, so good that after the 1st bite, I decided to save the rest for the last. The ambience, with a live pianist plus attentive friendly service is why they command such a price. The bill came up to USD71 after taxes then plus tipping, this high tea cost me more than SGD100.
Five star service and great food. The tea was excellent, and the bottomless champagne was decadent. The only bad thing was that you can enter the hotel from one side of the court, and the elevators are on the other side, so there’s heavy traffic and a lot of noise.
