My first visit. I go to steakhouses all over the country, and I already put this at the top of my favorites on all counts. Worthy of its legacy and fame. Here’s to many return visits. Was with friends but also fine for solos. Waiters couldn’t be better

Perfect outdoor dining option during jazz concert series on Friday evening during summer.

Everything we ordered was delicious and creatively prepared. We had excellent brussels sprouts that were drenched with olive oil, a refreshing tomato soup, a fantastic beet and pear salad, then two desserts that perfectly capped off our dining experience. The croissant bread pudding was rich and sweet, and the brownie and ice cream paired the slightly bitter taste of the rich chocolate with the sweet flavor of the ice cream. Altogether a dynamite day at Ray's!

The food and service were superb. It was Jazz night at LACMA, and there couldn’t be a better way to enjoy it than dining on the patio during the event.

We loved our lunch

THEY AUTOMATICALLY CHARGE 20% SERVICE CHARGE FOR LUNCH!! I had lunch with my husband. Just two of us. It was not a special occasion. Our server was not friendly and attentive, but we enjoyed the food itself. We were surprised to be charged 20% gratuity, but we paid. After having read so many reviews here, I realised no one mentioned about the service charge. We checked the receipt again, and it said BQT GRAT. Banquet Gratuity!? We are foreigners( we live here though ) and not good at speaking English. So sad, they did this intentionally...

Where do I start. I am not rating the food. And I am not rating my server. Both of those were phenomenal. Theresa was fantastic! And so was my Kentucky Mule cocktail. Highly recommend. My only issue is that when being seated I expressed how I feel about sitting directly next to people while eating. In my case I was on the outside of the restaurant by the window and I just felt uncomfortable. I asked if I can sit in the place shown in this picture. And I was told they prefer to save that for couples or groups which I completely understand. However, minutes after I was sat and provided a menu, another person gets seated by the same host. Literally where I had requested to be seated. And was by themselves. I felt a bit triggered by tht but was too hungry to care. What really dissapointed me is that I order a full meal with a cocktail, and the person who was sat didn’t order more thank a beer. 1 beer. And left I would say 15 or 20 minutes after. I expressed how I felt to the manager and she definetly understood my situation on why I was upset. Again my server was perfect. Food was flavourful. Drink was great. But I don’t like the way I was treated compared to the other person. I feel like my appearance compared to that other person might’ve been a factor and that just doesn’t sit right. To the owner I want to say that it was handled perfectly by the manager and server. But I wanted to share that experience so I hope no one goes through it the same.

The food is good to great. Andrew is the best waiter. The echo off the canvas roof interferes with the music a little. Overall a warm and welcoming place.

We dined outside, made reservations right before the Friday night Jazz started. It was my husband‘s birthday and we really had a lovely meal, wonderful ambience and fantastic service. We will definitely be back again.

I've been to Ray's many many times and each time it's a great experience. Great food, nice wine, and excellent service.
