Could never get into the NYC location so I was very happy to find that LA had a location I was able to dine at during a recent visit. We had a great dinner! The food was delicious and the cheesecake for dessert was the best I've ever had.The only thing better than the food was our waitress Gabby and the one and only Johnny! We LOVED talking with Johnny about our experiences living in NY....he's a riot! Then when we found out Gabby was from the east coast too we had another animated and fun conversation with her. They were THE best part of an all around great experience! We'll be back again...and next time Johnny, I'm getting that picture!
$2 for blue cheese olives in the martini, never had that before in any restaurant of this or other countries, ridiculous $5 for bread getting to be a trend, not a good trend $15 for side order of spaghetti, should have been advised a full order was $19. much better value not sure we will return, very expensive, but good food loved the baked clams
Went to Raoâs last night for the first time to celebrate my birthday and it was a real treat! From the moment you walk in you feel the nostalgia and old world vibes which are outstanding, food quality and no nonsense New Yorker type approach to service makes this place not only tasty but a real treat in a place like LA which seems to be filled with overpriced food and the âsceneyâ wannabe Instagramer crowd as of late.
Service was slow and we were next to a large birthday party which was very loud and disruptive. Should have made party take whole patio. Not fair to put regular diners next to a noisy event.
Amazing all the way around
Food and service were great. I would recommend the Sunday Gravy to anyone.
Great food and nice room. This place a %100 New York vibe. Loved the place as I grew up on the east coast.
Refreshing old school Italiano/American cuisine - an endangered species.
The food was outstanding and our server was attentive. 10/10!!
The first few times my boyfriend and I came here it was a nice experience. However, this last time was really awkward. We came as they opened so the place was quiet. I don't mind a quiet ambience, but the staff were severely inattentive and seemed almost annoyed at our presence. Our waitress was talking to another server for 10 minutes before coming back to take our drink order. We were also sat right in front of the bar and directly adjacent to the hostess stand which was weird considering we were one of three parties at the time. A little more privacy and service would have been appreciated. The busser kept trying to take our plates away as if to encourage us to leave. We wanted more drinks during our meal but our server didn't return until the very end when were eating bread crumbs looking around trying to get someone's attention. We just wanted to go home at that point and didn't stay for dessert even though we love the cheesecake and tiramisu. Quite disappointed. We could have gone elsewhere and spend $200.
