I came here on a recommendation from a Japanese friend, and he told me it was one of his favorite spots. I wanted to try their vegetable broth ramen, and wow, I was very impressed. I didn’t know it was possible to get that level of depth in a broth with just vegetable ingredients. Friendly service as well!
What sort of trickery is going on here? How can a vegetable based ramen taste better than 99% of its Little Tokyo competitors? If you haven't tried this place out, now is the chance.I got the Pearl Ramen and my girlfriend got the Spicy Garnet. While both ramens were good, I preferred the Pearl much better. The only downside to this shop was the lack of AC. It wasn't hot that day, but due to all the heat that's generated inside the restaurant, I was sweating quite a bit and couldn't enjoy my food as much as I wanted. Hopefully they can get it fixed so that I can come back even if the weather isn't cold.Finding street parking is almost impossible so I always park at the Aiso Parking Garage on 1st St & Judge John Aiso St. It's shaded and most importantly, very cheap.
Great ramen and gyozas as well as tasty sake, for a really good prices (when sharing). The staff was very friendly as well. For me a solid 4.6.Keep in mind that the waiting time can be up to over an hour tho, specially when coming in groups with more than 3 people.
Always a pleasure going in the food is amazing and the service is 100% all the time!!! my preference is the peral but all thier ramen is amazing they even have vegetarian options I promise you that you'll love it
Best vegan ramen I have ever had! The vegan gyozas were also great. Fast service and the staff were all amazing! I highly recommend this place.
The line is long for a reason! We were there at 9:15PM, waited around half an hour but it was worth it. They have quite a few vegan options for a small menu. And after the first few bites, I thought of applying to work here to steal their recipes.
delicious ramen ?? I wish spicy garlic ramen is not a season only menu because it was so good. It’s one of few restaurants open afternoon around this area, runs happy hour too.
It’s 5 steps to be seated inside and I was told I cant be seated unless I wear a mask and can’t use my shirt. I was told to go to the dollar store down the street to buy a mask because it’s not enough to use my T-shirt even though other people in here are using cloth masks. Servers and hosts are efficient but rude as hell. Food was EXCELLENT. I really want to give the five starts for how good this ramen was In comparison to the others on the same street but the attitude is extremely off putting. I had lost my appetite until the food was served.
Great food, very reasonable portions and prices! Love that they offer vegan options, makes it easy for a group lunch.
We got in late to LA on the 23rd. Rakkan was one of the only restaurants open in Little Tokyo that night and it was pouring down rain. We didn't have long to wait for a table. They check vaccine cards and IDs at the door before they seat you. Servers were awesome and the food was tasty! We all ordered the combo which was a bowl of ramen of your choice and another item of your choice. It's a lot of food! I enjoyed the spicy garlic pork ramen bowl and the spicy pork rice bowl. Will definitely visit again!
