My girlfriend brought me here.. Talking about a Burger that she had like 3 years ago she said was her favorite Burger. This Burger had a fried egg ketchup leather which was interesting but good A crunchy cheese wafer And it had ground up bacon in the Burger and Whole pieces of bacon on the Burger. I had them cook it to medium. That was a damn good Burger. Highly recommend the place. It's on my list of top best burgers.
Good burger selection and could have been great but they asked us to give a desired temperature (we said medium rare) and the burgers were just a hair under well done. They were still good despite this which is saying something but wish they were cooked as requested
A few blocks up (north) from the excellent selection of Asian restaurants on Sawtelle sits this very casual American food bistro. In the time of Covid, they have arranged an outside eating area with some heaters. The Plan Check burger and the wings are a favorite; the sweet potato fries are spectacular. Usually crowded both at lunch and dinner, try arriving early and saving a few bucks on the wings and drinks by eating at their "Happy Hour" that, I think, is 3 to 6 p.m.
Burgers here are taken to the limit in terms of flavor and creativity. The ‘bleuprint’ and ‘machismo’ burgers are favorites, while the fried chicken sandwiches pack a punch. Choose from a variety of delicious French fry sides and you’ll never want to go back to fast food.
I’m visiting from San Francisco and me and my friend were driving around looking for food but most places on Sawtelle were packed. We landed at Plan Check. I was skeptical because there was no one dining out there but decided to check them out anyway. Man, I have to say, the siracha chicken sandwich was amazing. It was literally one of the best tasting sandwiches I’ve ever had. Definitely my new to go to spot. My friend’s burger was delicious as well being that he devoured it in minutes. This place is underrated. Check them out. You won’t be disappointed.

Omg we loved the portobello mushroom swiss burger. The Buffalo cauliflower also tasted great. I had the watermelon paloma and it was delicious as well... The asada fries were pretty good as well. The sweet potato fries came with peach ketchup and they were so good. First time trying this place.
A lovely spot with plenty of outdoor seating and dog friendly patio. The burgers here are greatly! I ordered the “bleuprint” and loved every single bit of it! The combination of blue cheese, candy bacon, and beef patty was like heaven. We upgraded our fries to truffle fries but didn’t feel it was that great. It is different from the truffle fries you get at other restaurants. The dessert, cruller donut, was very unique. The texture is light and fluffy, definitely exceeded my expectations. I just hope that they have more desert options. The house made ketchup is really special and sweet potato fries are just perfect
Fun casual date spot with the hubs. We started with the crab dip. He had the Machismo, which was not only tasty, but cooked to absolute perfection. I enjoyed the Southern Fry which is a few slabs of juicy fried chicken. Duck ham (crazy good!) Spicy pimento cheese and pickles. I added truffle fries to complete the flavor bomb. We ended our meal with the cruller donuts, which I couldn't even touch because I was stuffed. They did make a really good midnight snack though! Go here and thank me later!
The crab dip is a must try! Ended up getting a second serving :) The place is quite laid back and the staff was very friendly.
