Bought my coffee and food, but could not sit down. Homeless people and their pets taking up all of the tables and space. Just reminded me of a safe house or something. Get a guard on duty please!!

B—-y plump barista with a multicolored bib, brunette bangs, & an odd blonde bun. Didn’t like this location because of her. Much prefer Culver location… However… must say coffee was consistently still great.

Obsessed with Philz Coffee!! Second review for a different location. My dad described their dark roast as 'the father of all dark roasts'. Their iced coffee mojito is sooooo delicious!!!! Their ice coffee rose is also delicious. Bagels and soft and nice and flaky on the outside. Their croissants are buttery and yummy when warmed up. Indoor and outdoor seating is available staff is friendly and welcoming. Bathrooms are fairly clean and you need a code to get in.We came from Toronto and Hands down one of the best coffee places we have had. Philz is worth a trip to California!!!

A nice coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating at the base of the CNN building. The iced mint mojito coffee is one of their specialties. It's worth trying, especially if you like mint as they add several fresh leaves to the coffee and it's not just some artificial extract. Also the staff was really friendly and the service was quick.

NO ESPRESSO…just a nice variety of coffee beans done as pour overs.I can’t do acidic coffee and the default coffee I got did bug my stomach some. They also have no half n half. Various milk alternatives and skin or literally heavy cream (way too heavy for coffee!).I never realize all Philz, as it’s name says, are ONLY COFFEE placeS. NO espresso. So no real cappuccinos nor lattes etc. They make mock ones is you like..but it’s never espresso, they’re made with pour over coffee. If you’re interested in trying different coffee varieties they do have a neat menu of at leas 15 different coffee beans with great flavor profile descriptions like you’d see in describing wine. It’s not in the best neighborhood, some homeless in the distance, and it’s in an office building. But inside it’s spacious and light-ish, well AC’d, super friendly staff, and a massive, tall outdoor area with tables and couches and desert plants..it’s just right on the boulevard so cars.

This is my first time coming here and it was such a great experience the staff was super friendly and the coffee tasted amazing there also lgbt friendly which is a huge plus as someone who is apart of the trans community I highly recommend this coffee shop

My staff used to shout about Philz coffee everyday. Finally tried it for myself.Slightly unusual as you can choose your beans, they grind, then make your coffee. Mine on this visit was slightly more bitter than I like (but that was my bean choice more than anything else. Otherwise it was made well, with cream and sugar to order. Also tried the turkey sausage sandwich - which was smaller but delicious.A little confusing how the process worked on entry but there was signage (I just missed it). Staff was super friendly and welcoming.

Good place to study. It can get crowded after noon but they have good food and drinks. If you don't want to stay home and go study outside, I highly recommend it.

Imagine having to wait 20 mins more after the said “pick-up time” plus unfriendly baristas while running late and not been given the option to cancel your order (3 drinks). Stressful morning

A nice, quaint little place with both indoor and outdoor seating! Lovely service and it's a good place to get work done- free wifi, outlets, and great service. Got some almonds and water about 3 hours into studying~
