First time trying Philz Coffee!! Tried this spot based on a recommendation from a social media travel influencer. I ordered the iced mint coffee and it was amazing!!! Staff was very friendly and asked us whether we enjoyed the coffee, knowing it was our first time. The restaurant was clean, great seating indoors.
I tried their signature drink and it was so nice. Service was good and I didn’t wait long to get my drink.
Coffee options are abundant. They have an offering of continental style breakfast foods. They have adequate larger tables for an impromptu meeting. Downtown is changing, sadly, with much change over the last 15 years. I gave 4 stars for location otherwise a nice shoppe.
The service was awesome, there was a line when I arrived just 3 people in front of me, but it was fast and everybody was really polite.Plus, the coffee tastes amazing. Highly recommend.
They brew each individual cup of their quality aromatic and flavorful coffees. I'm talking just a hot cup of gourmet coffee based on the beans, brewing time and the basics. Not a fancy frappe, or toppings or flavors. Yet better than an average "cup of joe" that's a spark to start the day. Or a pleasurable afternoon pick me up. Every time when I describe my preferences for sweeteners, etc. and leave the rest up to them, they never disappoint!
Ambrosia coffee of God is excellent.
I had the most amazing decaf iced coffee here. The cream they use is delicious and my barista was very thorough and attentive. I've never been to a Philz when there wasn't a line and this DTLA location is no exception.Update: it's relatively quiet on a Sunday morning.
Having a bad experience at Phil’s Glendale reminded me that I needed to leave this review, because awesome service deserves recognition too. I will be coming to this location quite often now that I work near by and the service I received the last few days has been stellar. Smiles you can hear behind a mask, some jokes, and great coffee. I really like this team and location!
A terrible choice of coffee house if you want to reduce waste by using your own coffee mug. It also is not for people who are traveling or are busy. It takes FOREVER TO GET A COFFEE. Just a regular black coffee. Forever. It isn’t piping hot either. Bummer place.
