I love Percolate from the bottom of my heart and I would give them a 5 star review if it wasn't the recent poor quality of the Thai tea. It was the best, I really mean the best, Thai tea on the west side but something happened and now instead of Thai tea with boba I'm getting condensed milk with boba. The flavor is so strong and it tastes so sweet...For God's sake, please stop making the Thai tea with condensed milk!!! Who needs that much sugar?! Half&Half would be enough.The boba is still good though.
Overall experience EHH,I was excited to try this bubble tea shop because I actually work at one on sawtelle that also specializes in tea. Definitely would say the overall atmosphere is so different. I thought when I walked in I would be greeted by the workers. However, I do like how the customers can use the pos to order their own drinks.So I had ordered 3 drinks. There were 3 workers behind the counter, so I thought it shouldn't take long to finish our drinks. But we waited for about 10 minutes. The workers were also chatting with each other which may have been the case it took longer. The drinks were okay too, I just thought the customer service would’ve been better.
Although I'd always gotten their milk tea (shout out to Matcha Royale and Iced Hojicha Latte) in the past, I decided to try the Yuzu Peach Fruit Tea and it was delicious and refreshing! Definitely recommend.
It’s very nice to have the royal match drink once in a while, especially during hot days. The boba is super good—very big and chewy. The large size is also worth it with the one extra dollar.
Is this place a joke? Ordered a BOBA tea!. First time actually having one! Picked up my order and cashier didn’t even tell me they were out of BOBA. Keep drinking it in confusion as to why their wasn’t any boba inside if I added it to the drink? Sabrina the rude cashier got an attitude when I asked for a refund. Learn to communicate with customers and let them know if you are out of an item. If I wanted a boba tea without boba I would have order it that way. Never again
I had the signature two color drink, which I can't be bothered to remember the name nor flavor since it was ridiculously all over the place, lemon grass and blueberry? My sister enjoyed the strawberry sparkler at least.The only gripe I have were the placement of the straws. It is placed beyond the customer's reach, so far into the barista counter, thus every time they were called, everyone loses precious time waiting, especially when labor are scarce. A lose-lose situation.
My drink was ready in two mins which I found odd. I usually wait at least ten. It wasn't cold anymore and most of the ice had melted already. I'm positive that it wasn't made after I ordered it.
Blue mango was excellent. Dint like the jasmine boba tea much.
Not your ordinary boba shop, percolate sports a diverse and creative menu including black sesame and fig flavors that will surprise even the most seasoned boba aficionados. But that doesn’t mean that they’re slouches when it comes to the tea itself, which is brewed to order and tastes of quality. Overall, it’s a shop that I’m willing to drive out of my way for.
Absolutely the best bubble tea experience. Wonderful range of flavours and customisation, all delicious, and catering to all tastes.
