This was our first visit and we were not disappointed. It is a casual, relaxed place with friendly, attentive service and very tasty food. The wine list includes some interesting Italian wines. I believe the pastas are homemade. The outdoor seating is sheltered from the street. They have parking behind the building. We would return.

Pecorino is one of those restaurants that have transitioned from being the trendy, hot restaurant, written about with Stars next to the recommendations, to being the high, quality, classic, restaurant that provides and the perfect environment that giving the guests the ability to enjoy an authentic Italian cuisine without the distracting razzle dazzle. Without a doubt, it is probably one of the most authentic Italian restaurants that have not dumbed down the flavor for an American customer. The pasta, home-made, is excellent, as is everything else on the menu. And a secret - every Tuesday, fresh Mozzarella / Burrata is flown in from Italy - making the best Caprese in Los Angeles. To top off everything else, the owner is truly inspiring, fun and is passionate, and he offers a gluten free menu for those truly LA'ers....5 stars to Pecorino for all of the above and longevity with continued quality.
Nice ambiance, good service. Food looked great but taste was bland & pricey.
It is a little annoying that they automatically add 18% gratuity to the bill for all parties. I have seen that with large groups but we were a party of two and that seemed unnecessary. The restaurant was not that busy and the server was not that attentive. Almost like "I'm getting my 18% anyway so who cares?" The food was good, but there are a lot of options in that neighborhood and this one was just so-so overall.

Food was excellent, and the maitre d' was kind enough to switch us to an outside table at our request though the place was fully booked. Only mild criticism was that service was a bit slow; it seemed the place was slightly understaffed. That said, the server was polite and friendly. As neighborhood places go, this one is well worth patronizing.
