Not impressed at all. I expected authentic ramen. It had no taste. Supposed to be spicy the lower the number goes so I ordered a miso spicy level 4. I asked for a 3 after the 4 was so bland. Still did not like it. No taste and it took a while to get it. Not worth the price. Staff didn't offer refills we had to ask. Before eating I went to use the restroom and omg please give it attention. The owner needs to paint over the graffiti and clean the urine on the wall. The restroom was really dirty and it smelled like a bar restroom!
Friendly fast service. The bowl is huge and the ramen was delicious. Very flavorfulInside and outside eating seating
Seems like there’s a mix of reviews of this place. I thought it was good if not exceptional—lots of goodies in the ramen, so much that I am taking most of it home as leftovers. I did add egg and chashu to my miso ramen. Expensive but I anticipated that going in.Spice-wise I ordered a 4 but if I ordered again I think I would have done a 3; 4 had hardly any spice. I like spicy, just not so much it overwhelms the other flavors, ymmv. The waitress was busy but helpful.I noticed some reviews claiming the taste isn’t any good due to the number of Mexican customers and cooks in the kitchen. 1) I think it’s fair to complain about the authenticity of a food without pinning the problem so disdainfully on a particular ethnic group. (Also I have eaten at my fair share of “Mexican” restaurants in East Asia and none of them were any good, this is just what happens when you export cuisines to different places.) 2) If you have a problem with Mexican cooks, have I got some bad news for you: most restaurant kitchens in America run on Mexican or other Latino staff, no matter the cuisine and no matter whether the food is good, bad, or exceptional. It hardly seems fair to pin the taste of a restaurant’s ramen on the ethnicity of its Mexican cooks, especially in LA!
Make sure to come by the time they open! Service was fast and the group I was in was able to enjoy dishes prepared quickly. Food was affordable and I loved the variety of shops around the restaurant. Cannot wait to come back for some delicious takoyaki!
The best ramen I have tasted so far, it's so flavorful and the portions are good to share. The fried rice is the best fried rice I've ever had and I recommend ordering extra ginger with it, it compliments the dishes so well!!! However, it's is a bit pricey but I think it's worth it for some good ramen.
My wife and I have been coming to Ocochon Ramen for couple of years we enjoy the ramen and other items they havebon thier menu. I really enjoy their miso ramen it's really good the broth is very light and full of flavor.
I make my own homemade ramen and this was pretty damn close. Also the level of spice was accurate. If you're Mexican try the impact or above. White people stick to mild.
I loved the food here. It’s so conveniently located next to shopping areas and has parking.
We were seated within 20 minutes. Service was really quick. I loved our server! She was so patient and would confirm everything with us.(Tip: check in with Yelp! We couldn’t find anyone when we got there)
