Personally I have to say Amphai is the most authentic Thai restaurant in Thai Town. I am obviously biased because I spend a lot of time in Chiang Mai and my favorite food in the world is Northern Thai food. The first bite of the ไส้อั่ว & น้ำพริกหนุ่ม just tastes so familiar it immediately took me back. (Northern Thai sausage and chilli paste, respectively.) Northern food is best enjoyed with friends tapas style, so please try their whole spread! The shop is cozy, quaint, and the folks are so nice. I will constantly be coming back and bringing many visitors!
Amazing place at very affordable prices.The food in this small restaurant is amazing and as authentic as it gets.They have a good variety of dishes, all freshly cooked daily.Highlights were the Som Tam, Pork Curry, crispy pork belly and smoked aubergine.The owner offered us some freshly cut jackfruit as pudding.If I lived in LA I would be here every week.
Service was friendly and welcoming as soon as we entered. The food was delicious. Spicy and flavorful with every bite. The Thai tea was so good as well. It was creamy and have the rich tea aroma unlike the typical powdered Thai tea that other places offer.
Amazing food with reasonable price. Curry noodle is so flavorful and totally manageable for people who have low spicy tolerance. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Amazing food. We had the curry noodles. So flavourful! A tiny unpretentious restaurant. I would come back to try the other dishes. There's one thing that I would comment on is the menu design. Some categorization of food on the menu would help customers to decide what to get and explore. Anyway, it's on our restaurant to-go-to list, checked, 5 stars!
I highly recommended their Khao Soi, such a rich flavorful taste! it has a good mixture of creamy, spices and acidic, The Sai Ua is good too.

Different kind of Thai that I am used to, all the dishes that we tried are very heavy in spices, but we liked them, worth a try.
I went through H311 trying to get here because I wanted so badly to try it for the first time. It was worth it!! Everyone working here was so kind and the prices are relatively low given it’s a more expensive part of LA!
Wooowwww this place is legit, authentic, well spiced and flavorful thai food. The sausages and curry were just mind blowing good
