I really wish service would have been better. This could be such a whimsical magical experience and the attitude of the girl up front is very much get the hell out you're bugging me. No smile or enjoyment of her job at all. I knew the drinks would be pricey and they were good but her attitude along with it being overpriced just made it a one time visit. You can tell the owner put in a bunch of time and detail into decorating because it is so cute, but there was nothing else about it that I would come back a second time for
Quaint, charming and comfy are three words I would describe this Wizardly coffee shop. It was busy when we were there, but the food is legit good and the drinks, although quirky, are still tasty or interesting enough to draw you in. If your a Harry Potter fan or just want to see what good execution on a themed coffee shop looks like; look no further.
*If you read any of my other reviews I’m very lenient on my reviews or I’m easily impressed but this place truly blew my mind*My hopes were not high walking into this spot being that they have a more creative theme and I was expecting to be judged for not being a creative.Total opposite! Everyone here were so friendly! We all know I’m a lemonade connoisseur so this drink was perfect for me! It looked super cool and taste AMAZING!!Then the vegan breakfast sandwich was unbelievable. I honestly would never have known this was not actually meat had they not told me when I ordered it ?If you are walking, biking or driving pass Nimbus please stop in! It’s cool looking inside and outside with amazing drinks and food to match!!
I ordered their flat white with almond milk and it was excellent. Perfect temperature and flavor. Nice little neighbor hood coffee shop in DTLA.It was a little pricey but that’s probably because I added almond milk. Overall I believe the taste was worth it. They had a lot of pastries but I had to pass for now. Also the decor is wizardry themed(Harry Potter’ish) and Lebron James on a broom painting just outside.

I'm not a Harry Potter fan so I was a little taken back when I went into this coffee shop because I was confused by everything. But what I was not confused by was the delicious taste of their coffee. It was a very diverse crowd that was attracted to the site because of the festive art centered around Harry Potter in a very unique way. If you're a Harry Potter fan and in the area I highly suggest you check out this coffee spot. It truly captures the essence of Hogwarts while giving you a strong caffeinated beverage that will be sure to cast a spell of energy upon you.
Some of the drinks were good but definitely paying extra for the experience. P.S. do not get the notorious black unless you’re into very “interesting” tasting things (A.k.a it was not very great). I would recommend getting sorcerers tears!
We discovered the place on our recent trip to DTLA. We ordered berry lemonade, morning glory muffin and a vegan sandwich. Lemonade and the sandwich were delicious. The cafe had limited seating but the decor was harry Potter theme based which was pretty cool.

This is my first time at Nimbus Cafe.The venue itself is asthetically pleasing to the eye. As a Harry Potter fan, I loved it. We had the Notorious Black Latte Ice (6/10). Seems to taste more like the milk they put in more than anything. We also had the Dragons Breathe(8/10). It was good but too sour. Witches Cold Brew (7/10). Just coffee that you can get anywhere else. A bit too pricey for the drinks. It was a good first try and good experience. Staff is great and I got to meet the owners.
