Very friendly people! I came in to try the Veggie Pita on the menu has zucchini, tomatoes, portobello mushrooms, and fries. The zucchini and mushrooms are grilled with salty goodness and flavorful. Pita was warm and fries were hot. The tzatziki sauce was a little sour (for me) which imo I could use more tomato. The overall combination of the sandwich was very good.Since this was my first time the server gave me and my companion a free sample of the frozen yogurt with honey. Yes, I would come back for that.
Food was good but the portions were small especially for the price. I also got a single sauce in a tiny container that was barely full. Barely any meat in the Gyro platter which basically defeats the purpose of ordering it.Wish I just went to Green Olive on Santa Monica instead half the price, better portions and better meat.
My dad is from Greece and grew up with Greek food, when Nick the Greek came to town I was excited and went to try it. The food is authentic!!! Really great pita bread and the souvlaki is great, I had the Baklava and was pleasantly surprised of how good it was, I really enjoyed it. It brought me back to the church bake sales growing up where the YaiYais fought over what recipes they would use and it tasted amazing. My husband gets the falafel and that is good too, I tried a bite :)Thank you NIck the Greek for coming to my neighborhood and your staff is always so nice and pleasant. The food comes out fast and it very very delicious. I tell everyone about you!!! Opa :)
Their fries are possibly the saddest fries I've ever had—0 crispiness, very little flavor aside from grease (even though these were the Greek fries), and with an odd sponginess that's vaguely off-putting. The beef/lamb gyro meat was bland, overall unimpressive. Would not order here again, could not recommend to anyone else.
I absolutely love Greek food, but my favorite Greek places are mom & pop holes in the wall, so I was a bit worried when I came across this fast-food looking place. I was very, very pleasantly surprised when I got an amazing quality gyro that rivaled some of the shawarma I've had in the Mediterranean. It's fast food, sure, but it's mighty tasty, pretty authentic, and very reasonably priced. This has definitely been added to the list of places I'll be frequenting for a quick bite!
I come in the area once a week with my husband, and it became our tradition to stop at Nick the Greek every Monday. It is definitely one of the best food I ever had. My husband and I both take the same meal every time, the Gyro lamb/beef bowl. Go try it, but be prepared to become addicted!
Slowest Gyro I have ever been to.The Gyro’s were not authentic, instead of Greek Yoghurt sauce they had some ridiculous mayo sauce instead. There are plenty of better options than this place. It’s also way overpriced.
The fact that this overpriced McDonald's of Greek food has 4.5 rating is disturbing. If you like Greek food stay away from this joint. The lack of any authentic flavor or even most basic ingredients is stunning. At the same time huge amount of salt in each item except salad requires a mouth rinse. This place sucks and should stop giving Greek food bad name.
Best Greek food in LA!!!! I eat here once a week! 11/10 recommend!!!
I tried the chicken Gyro Pita which is tasty but small in size and overpriced ($10.95). The reason I gave 2 stars is the answer I got from the cashier when I commented on the fact that my pita had only 4 fries, after stating how tasty it was. She replied saying "We usually put 5 fries for taste and texture". Souvlaki falls in the category of street food, its meant to be sloppy, its meant to have a lot of everything. I spent the time to comment my experience because I care for the food that represents the country I am from. Accept the feedback and avoid replying with such a dumb answer.
