Great food prices are awesome!!!
Food was pretty good and I like family-run places but I think we were overcharged.Ordered 3 pc. samosas, pani puri, 3 curries (chicken tikka, saag paneer, lamb curry), 2 orders of white rice, and 3 garlic naan.Tikka masala had very good flavor. Ordered the lamb curry medium, but all were mild / no detectable spice. Pani puri came unassembled, unlike in photos posted here, which I thought was kind of strange, but not bad. Other photos on here show it with sev and ours did not come with any.We also purchased $23 of grocery items. We were charged $100 in total, so the food was ~$75.I saw the fellow entering an $11.99 item as he priced the groceries, but the most expensive thing should have been the palm sugar, which is stickered at $6.99. You don’t get an itemized receipt so there’s no way to check. All I know is that we were charged more than the posted prices. When I add everything up and include tax, I think the total difference was ~$15. Not the end of the world, but…I wouldn’t have bought the sugar if it was actually $12.Not really sure what to say. Food was good, but I don’t feel like I can come back.
Just ordered some food from here and I’m now excited to come here again! Really tasty samosas and the roti and specials are well priced and delicious, it tastes like authentic Punjabi food that has been tough to find here for such a good price too! Also, the portions are big and the chai is delicious too ☺️ Would absolutely recommend!!
This seems like just another place in LA but they have the best fresh-made chapati and gravy. We ordered roti and paneer/daal. It was cooked with the right amount of consistency and even had coriander.Definitely a must try place!
I ordered from here several times on Uber eats. I’m just in awe at how amazingly perfect the spicing is on their dishes. I’ve tried the yellow Dhall, chicken pakoras, chicken Biriyani and Seekh kabob so far and they’re all just perfect from a spicing perspective which is really what most Indian restaurants get wrong IMHO.I’m amazed that it’s a grocery store serving up gourmet worthy dishes. I’m just looking forward to trying everything on their menu. I really hope their quality doesn’t drop :).
Jazzy and his wife and friendly and helpful. Jazzy even truly remembered me from the first time I’d come as a grocery customer nearly a year ago! This time I got to come to dine there. Their food is good and at a great price. I was happily surprised that the Tikka Marsala was with perfect white meat chicken, not surprisingly perfectly cooked, not overdone and chewy. I’ll be back soon for sure.
Small grocery store with rice and packaged goods and snacks and cake rusks and a restaurant inside full of delicious hot food.Lunch was absolutely delightful and affordable — I’m ready to go back! The service was also excellent. Not sure if the people who helped me today are the owners but they were so sweet and made me feel as if I were a guest in their home.
Excellent flavor. Friendly family owned restaurant and market.
Tried the sweets here but was heavily disappointed. It was not fresh and the sweets were harder than the plastic spoon given to eat it with. For a place that has sweets in it's name, I expect better.Giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because the food smelled good enough so that might be worth a try.
Small, compact Indian market that seems to have everything from sweets to spices to flours and beans to prepared food and a la carte full menu. Very helpful staff.
