Way overpriced for the food I received. I bought jerk chicken lunch with a soda for 21.50 and I'm very disappointed - still and hungry. My plate had a drumstick head and about 3 pieces of a chopped thigh . There was virtually no meat on my plate but there was a lot of rice! . I will never go back ; in fact , I'm done with Caribbean restaurants, they serve cheap food ( rice ,cabbage and bananas ) and then charge inflated prices for 3 - world food. I paid $20 and barely got a piece of chicken . NEVER AGAIN .
Top service we came in and was greeted right away. Ms. SARA took care of us food was off the chain, meat Patty's are bomb as hell
This is my FAVORITE JA restaurant in all of LA. The food is GREAT, authentic, and reasonably priced. Yardies know this is only place to get home cooking.
Delicious, authentic Jamaican food. Cooked with love and located in the heart of the city ( adjacent to the 10 freeway). The oxtails plate snd jerk chicken plate are simply the best. Hearty, tasty, generous portions. Whether you dine in, order onsite for takeout or have it delivered, you will not be disappointed. If you can’t go to Jamaica right now, going to this restaurant is the next best thing. Try it, I think you will love it also. They also own a market next door where you can buy local and cultural items.
I ordered the ox tail and it was flavorless and the rice was mushy. Don’t be ordering from here again
Authentic Jamaican Food.Been eating here almost 30 years now, food still the same.Fresh juices:Sour SapCarrotIrish MossGinger.. and moreOxtails!!!!
the portion for the price is reasonable. i had the jerk chicken plate. the chicken was seasoned nicely. the beans & rice was ok. the plantains were fried perfectly. i would visit again to try another dish.
This place is the one I like best. I eat in a lot of restaurants but to this restaurant I go the most. The stuff is very cordial and the food they offer is so yummy. I would always prefer to have a good meal in this place. Highly recommended.
My husband and I have been coming to this place for the last 23 years, even before our son was born. Obviously, my husband introduced me to Jamaican food (should I say why?) and I fell in love with it. The food has so much history because of the spices, the smell of curry (particularly), and how it is cooked. Sorry, but I am not fan of Scotch Bonnet. The beef patties are my son's favorite. The first time I tried their cow foot soup, it stayed in my mind and have to have it next time. My husband made sure he ordered this soup PLUS ackee and codfish is really my favorite!!!!Thank you Juicy for the love you put into your dishes....and mostly Carol, who has known us for years and now has seen my son grow into a teenager. We love you, guys!!!!
We met with friends at this spot for dinner. This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was very nice. The staff welcomed us with a smile and we had a great feeling. The food was just great. We enjoyed every moment and we shall definitely come back again. Highly recommended.
