Got the Chicken Tika Masala combo. The nan was excellent, but I was expecting more of a thali plate (with two veggies, dal and main course ). Received just a large bowl of Chicken Masala and large plate of rice....and a nondescript soup (not dal.) along with a kheer that felt to me like it had spent too much time in the refrigerator. The wait staff were friendly and nice. Disappointing food with Nan as a sving grace.
You can’t find places like this in downtown LA. The staff truly cares about providing quality service and you can tell that they use fresh ingredients. We’ve been coming to Mr. Masala for years and love it each every time. You can not beat their lamb korma ?. And the vibes are amazing especially with the new update look of the place.
This food is amazing! I'm so happy we were staying at the hotel next door~ Very welcoming environment, and the service was very sweet and kind. Well definitely go to again next time I'm in the area.
Very good portions, expect around 20$ per plate. The spice level is unfortunately pretty mild throughout but with decent flavor. The naan is amazing! Very fluffy!
Tried lamb curry and aloo matar. The lamb curry was good; authentic flavors but aloo matar was below average. Friendly service.
I came back to Mr Masala after a few months of being away. Same good food. Friendly staff. They updated the decor it’s cute.
Wow words can not do this place justice, but ill try. To start, the food is mind blowing. Ive never had vegetable samosas so good anywhere else. Their chicken korma is mouth wateringly good. The service is out of this world as well. Its a family business and you really are made to feel like a part of the family during your visit. So kind and attentive. Would recommend to anyone looking for good indian food in LA
Stunning environment and friendly service. I will definitely be back. I love you Mr Masala ?
This restaurant is clean and has good service. The mango lassi here is amazing. It is right next to LA Live in downtown so definitely in a nice location. But as such parking may be an issue. Overall the food was average. Definitely not the best Indian food I’ve had but decent. I would recommend this place if you’re looking for a local Indian restaurant in downtown LA. Came here for dinner on Saturday night and it wasn’t busy.
Had dinner here with a couple of work friends after a big tradeshow. We were so hungry not have eaten all day. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. The place was clean and tables were set far enough apart that you felt like you were not on top of each other with other guests. Our food came in a timely manner. We had the chicken curry, chicken saag, and chicken korma. Each of us really enjoyed our dishes and it was exactly prepared the way we wanted it. The rice was really good and the naan was fresh and hot. And the overall price for our meals was really reasonable for LA. I highly recommend you give this place a try.
