Moodaepo is a restaurant I have been to many times. Which is interesting considering that I don't eat meat. However, they have amazing sides and options for people like me, such as mushrooms, tofu soup, etc. My friend who was with me is Gluten Free and they had options for her as well such as the garlic chicken & few others mentioned to us that I cannot recall but not ordered because we had no more space to eat!One thing I always get if it is available is the watermelon soju (pictured). I'm obsessed with their japchae and kimchi - some of the best I've ever had. Even though Korean BBQ is a meat-eaters delight, there's something for everyone here which is why I come back and enjoy myself just as much as everyone!
I always enjoy Moodaepo . Whether it is daytime or evening, so many yummy aromas of food and sounds of joy. There are fun novelty shops. I enjoyed conversations with two friendly shopkeepers on my last visit. The lights at night are fun and festive. I visited during Fleet Week and a great guest band was performing. The place looks clean and family friendly to me. I did pick up my check in offer- a coupon book at the visitor center.
This place has great food and is very wallet friendly. Come here if you want to feel like you're not in LA! The ambience makes it a 10 out of 10.

Service is very slow and non friendly. They stand around and you have to constantly wave for any help. Forget getting checked up on. Another table and us had to grab someone’s attention together then they ran away as fast as possible. There’s a sign by the door saying they take the tip out so our first time we double tipped which is completely fine. However the last couple times we let them take out the tip but the latest time we had someone chase us down the street asking why we didn’t tip in a very rude tone. They keep track of and are more concerned if people tip instead of how the guest are doing. We had to wait little over 30 min to order more meat. It wasn’t that busy and someone should’ve checked in instead of us begging for any help. I understand the importance of tipping and we never not leave a tip but this was inappropriate, rude and unprofessional.
Called to get information about how to reserve for a large company party and the guy that answered had a really bad attitude like if he didn’t care to answer questions with short answer like “yeah” and his “hello” was like he had no energy. I said I would rather take my business somewhere else since he had that lazy energy. By the way called twice because nobody answer the phone.
This is a really good all you can eat Korean BBQ restaurant in downtown LA. When we sat at our spot, there were already sides at the table so if you're really hungry, you can already eat while browsing the menu. They're fast in bringing the food and the servers walk around to check if you need anything, unlike in other places where you have to wait a long time before someone sees you. The price is just right, the choices of meat is great and the servings are huge. We ordered 4 kinds of meat once and got so full in the first serving alone.I'd eat here again!
All the food that you cook it's really good the ambient and atmosphere it's enjoyable . The aged ribeye it's always a must have and the pork belly too.
Great time eating kbbq here. Decent prize and great selection of meats to pick from and great soju selection as well. Great staff with friendly attitude. Highly recommend!!
