So far the best Vegan food experience I've had in LA. Good armosphere, affordable prices, tasty food. A must try!I don't recommend eating in though, if you're not in the mood/ state for Very loud (rock)music.
Amazing plant based burgers and shakes, big recommendation. Staff was also really friendly!
Tasty vegetarian burgers and sandwiches!! Really enjoyed the food here and will come again.
This vegan hamburger spot is leggggggitt. Really good tater tots as well as French fries. The kale salad is quite tasty as well.Haven't had any of their desserts but the burger, tots and fries are delish!Love the impossible patties, taste like a hamburger but better for the environment.
This place is amazing. Be prepared to pay about $20 per person for this deliciousness and possibly wait in a line but it is so...WORTH EVER PENNY! Don't pass up this one of a kind business. Ive had a lot of vegan food and this place isn't even on the same level as the rest. They have leveled up..The vegan cheese they use is beyond anything I've ever tasted. The tator tots are crisped to perfection..and dairy free shakes that taste like the real thing?? Your mind will be blown. We met Al outside and he is so friendly. He makes the wait go by fast and his personality actually makes the place feel very inviting and makes you feel at home. Try all the dipping sauces and the kids meal grilled cheese! This place is more than a trendy spot it is done right delicious food. Cant wait to go back or try out the Riverside location. Plus there is a real dog named Monty and he is adorable. Grab stickers while your there and enjoy the special art by Gary Baseman. This place is definitely one of a kind
The milkshakes are the best and most filling I’ve ever had (dairy-free or otherwise)! Get the strawberry one friends. Do it. I’m usually a chocolate or vanilla person but the strawberry shake was insanely good!!! Really chill small diner atmosphere, the employees are friendly and the burger and shoe-string friends were *chefs kiss*.Our omnivore friends loved it too, great place to bring curious non-vegans along with your vegan fam. And can I just say the music was really great too. We were there last Wednesday and it was all about the 80’s which got us dancing at the table! ???We’ll be back for tatertots AND for anyone who wants it they have a big kale salad.Vegan options (obviously!).Killer shakes.Great burgers.Salad options.Cute badges and stickers!
Stopped in for a snack. Although we only got fries, tater tots, and a kale salad it was a good experience. The sauces for the fries were excellent. We tried the sriracha, garlic aioli, and the habanero which was the favorite by the way. The employees were nice and all seemed to be enjoying their job. The atmosphere is very casual as we were seated by the wall since it is very small inside. In the past we have gotten the burger and it is rather tasty for a non meat burger. If I wasn't watching calories i might've gotten the shake.
TLDR: KTown Monty’s is the best burger spot in LA. 10/10 Must Eat. Must shop. Must experience! Ask for a dogpile from the “secret” menu & be impressed ?I can’t believe I have never reviewed this Monty’s, this is the first place I ate when I got to LA. They have remained a regular spot I’ve ate at over the years whether it was to dine in or take out, their quality is consistent at this location. If you frequent here then it goes without saying that the dogpile is the best item to order but it’s an off-menu not so secret dish. It consists of a bed of fries or tots, or 50/50 of both, topped with two patties with cheese and 4 different house sauces. I get mine with fries and without the onion aïoli or Sriracha and add extra cheese and it’s simply perfect. This is one place that I can bring anybody that is not vegan and they have been impressed every single time. Monty’s makes it easy for me to prove to people that veganism does not compromise flavor or indulgence! The chocolate shakes are absolutely to die for and I can never manage to finish one on my own so I only wish that they made a smaller size for someone like me with a small appetite because I usually waste half ? They melt before I can finish them and they don’t store well in the fridge or freezer, it’s a texture thing. I wish they still allowed the maxed out fries to be upgraded with a patty for $4 but they stopped that when they added new locations to be consistent I guess. It was never an issue until a new location opened and wouldn’t do it so I assume they didn’t want there to be confusion about it. For me that was more budget friendly as an individual dining alone and less wasteful as someone with stomach issues that force me to eat small portions. The food reheats decent in an air fryer so you’ll still get to enjoy your leftovers though so no worries if you can’t finish it! Oh and they do the SICKEST collabs with their store merch that you do NOT want to miss out on!! I wish they included matching sweats to complete the fits because I’d be all in & a longboard collab too haha but that’s asking for a lot. I can dream ? The staff here is beyond friendly, soooo nice and always make me happy to be there. They have free stickers and pins on the counter to take and I always take extras to hand out like business cards when I recommend them to everybody. Last, but not least, do not forget to go on your birthday! There’s a sundae you can purchase only on your birthday that comes with this huge happy birthday pin that they customize with your name in stunning font (I’m talking Disney style penmanship) and ngl I did not try it so I can’t comment, I just wanted the pin with my order which is why I ended my bday at Monty’s last year and they kindly obliged ? overall they are doing the vegan community the greatest service by giving us food that anybody and everybody can say is delicious AF.& it’s not a huge selling point but the placemats are cute & nice souvenirs if you write on them to commemorate your experience & when my friend came to visit LA we wrote each other Christmas cards on them in the restaurant ??♀️? Monty’s is the it girl of burger joints, period.
Excellent plant-based burgers served with the option of tater tots, fries or kale Cesar salad. I love that their dessert menu; the cookie shake, the sparkling dodger berry lemonade and the Middle of Brownie cookie are sooooo tasty!!!! Their menu is 100% plant based. + its awesome to know they sensibly source their ingredients & use only compostable serving products.
did not disappoint after years of drooling over on social media. the pressed, crispy impossibly patties and pickled cucumbers are what stood out to me. didnt know i needed the shake till after i inhaled it
