Japanese Sushi Bar Comfort Food

Food was good as always. I got the Miso Ramen, so good and hot even after letting it sit until the whole table got their food. My husband ordered the salmon collar...it was huge and he loves it. This is our go to place when we go to J-town...my husband and his family have been coming here for over 40 years. It is like coming home.

Delicious food, had the tempura udon and sashimi, really high quality cuts of fish and delicious simple udon

Great bartenders and ambiance. Expensive, but then it's a wine bar in Los Feliz, so expensive is relative, isn't it? The secret door to the private bar is very cool. The bar stools are pretty comfortable too. All in all, a place I'd visit again.

This afternoon I went there for lunch. It was ok. I order the combo as in the photo. I did not see the one makes this restaurant be known: red bean cakes. I think people put wrong information here. Check it out if you don’t believe. However, the service was good.

The service was non-compliant with LA Covid Standards as IDs were not checked for indoor dining. The chefs were unmasked and yelled into our food. Environment was stuffy and unsanitary.

We went for lunch, not the servers fault and he was very kind, but the service was extremely slow. We ordered the Okinawa soba as we are of Okinawan decent. It was a good attempt but we were disappointed. My daughters noodles were clumped together and hard, while my noodles were better. Perhaps some of the other food is better? The decor needs updating as well...

First time in j town. Very courteous server. I asked her to turn down the air conditioner which she did. Old restaurant decor but the bento box with sushi was very good. Post funeral at the temple nearby so all of us filled the restaurant. Owner could have used more help. He worked hard.

was so impressed by the taste and attention with thus hidden jem... So close to dodger stadium...

Udon was delicious and tuna melts in your mouth. Good service and friendly staff

Our hostess/waitress I rate her at a 10. The Restaurant a 4. The food presentation 4. The taste: Miso soup was warmish, the sushi roll was so-so with the last two pieces tasting too fishy. The Bento box beef teriyaki the beef was not tender and the last few pieces tasting rancid. Because of this I rate it at a two.
