Very chill vibe, super fresh food and drinks, friendly staff. We were able to get a whole class wrapped here. Appreciate your support!

Food adventure can sometimes be the only way to get Angelenos drive out to unfamiliar neighborhoods. In my 30+ years in LA, I have only ever ventured to Boyle Heights once, to try Quisados.Today we drove out to try Milpas and it was an amazing experience. We love their reinterpretation of Mesoamerican food. Flavors are unique, intense and simply gorgeous to see. Can't wait to go back again.

We hired Milpa Grille to cater dinner for our wedding reception in Boyle Heights and they were incredible!! We chose a three-taco option (birria, brisket, and fish) and all of them were amazing. Our guests were raving about how much they loved the tacos. It was also beautifully plated with edible flowers and blue corn tortillas. They were not just willing, but expertly able to meet our requests for food service to accommodate one huge table that seated 75 guests. They kept the tacos coming the whole time, prepping them as-needed to keep the food warm, refilling platters and keeping a close eye on the table and where replenishing was needed.Ana and the whole time were very professional and easy to work with. When planning a large event like this it's hard to express the impact that has - it was such a relief to know that they had everything under control. They also went above and beyond what we hired them for. For example, when things changed during the event they even helped us wash all the forks for dessert (this was completely out of their scope) and they stayed later than planned since dinner lasted longer than we expected. They also helped us prepare before the event with printed menus (with ingredients list for our guests) as well as coordination on platter sizes, a walk through of the space, and answering questions about food allergies, etc.. We are so grateful that Milpa Grille catered our wedding and took care of our guests. We love their ethos and the way they connect with the community. Connecting our community was what our wedding was about and they were the perfect people to support that.Thank you again, Ana and the whole team!!!

One of my favorite restaurants in Boyle Heights. Their food is incredibly delicious and uses high quality fresh ingredients. I would recommend anyone in the area to try it (I usually get a bowl, but have also tried their taquitos). They also have amazing pop ups!

One of my friends posted a very delicious picture on Instagram where it showed a burrito among other yummy plates which immediately made me want to try this place out! I work in Little Tokyo so it was a very convenient drive for my coworker and I. It didn't take more than 7 minutes, without traffic of course! Just a heads up, there is no parking. There was no parking anywhere near so we parked a block and a half from the restaurant. Nice neighborhood. We had our order taken and as we waited we sat outside their outside seating. Chilly day. One of the guys who was having coffee and was alone started being weird with us and that made us feel uncomfortable so we decided to take our order to-go instead. Our order took a while to be ready so that felt like an eternity for my coworker and I as we had this creepy guy trying to talk to us. We finally got our order and drove off to eat our meal. Well, we ended up getting one item wrong and one of our bowls had a hair in it. I was pretty upset. I called them, but no one answered. Maybe they were busy. The little food that I did have was okay! I just wish someone had answered our call to maybe fix this situation. Hope to come back soon.

A couple of my amigos asked me to try Milpa Grill so we did. Uf! The guys serving coffee were being too friendly, borderline made us feel uncomfortable. The food was 4/10. We order, got our food & it was wrong. We decided to just leave it as that. Not happy.

The food was delicious and the employees were very nice! I got one birria taco, one mushroom taco, and one of the Passionfruit lemonades. The tacos were great and the drink was really incredible. Hopefully I'll be returning soon :)

The food is good especially their burritos. They also good agua fresca drinks.

5 stars for the Pork Belly Burrito when my order is correct! 2 and half stars for service. Last few times I've came to get breakfast they always seem to mess up my pork belly and give me a beef Birria. I dunno if maybe the masks are hard to hear but instead of trying to apologize for the mistake the guy just tell us the meat is cooked different. Come on, anyone can tell shredded beef and pork apart!

This place is perfect every drink and meal are just simply delicious
