Best ribs in town. The cucumber side and baked beans are delicious. No cocktails but they have a small but good selection of beer and wine to enjoy with the bbq.

Deliciously smoked meats from chicken to tri tip. The mac and cheese, potato salad are great. The corn bread muffin are excellent! Try the little BBQ great price for table of 7.

Super Yummy Food and a whole lot better then the other competition, for the sake of not putting the other restaurant down I will NOT mention their name but the quality of the meats and sides you get here is amazing! Their Mac and cheese is a great combination with the baked beans. We usually only come here once a year for mothers day as a special occasion and we take it to go and eat at tye comfort of our home, its worth it for sure! So give them a try! We tried the (weakness) special which gives you a little bit of all the meats they offer with 2 cornbread muffins and 2 sides at a very reasonable price, we always buy the premium side of mac and cheese to add to our meal.

Never fails when the Q craving hits Max City always delivers fire - Hush puppies - Brisket Sliders with coleslaw a Link sandwich with plenty of MC Spicy sauce >>cornbread, bake beans, and a cucumber salad! Wish they had a truck = more people would know what's up!???????

Truthfully I wanted to give three stars, but I decided I liked the food more than I disliked it and for the price to feed two people with that variety of food, you can’t beat it. Pros: the pulled pork was delicious, and we enjoyed the chicken and the ribs, however they weren’t the best I’ve had. It was $39 for the “Weaknees” which included the 4 meats, two sides, and corn bread which is amazing. Cons: I had high expectations for the brisket because it’s been so long since I had it but it wasn’t particularly flavorful. The corn bread was so tough it had the texture of an overcooked bread roll. The mac and cheese was a bit boring but their spicy bbq sauce saved it. The staff was kind and the wait to eat wasn’t long.

For barbecue without smoke, the food is outstanding! Really good service, great local craft bar options too.... And good deals for the lunch specials

One of the best bbq! Got the "weaknees" which was a variety platter and it was perfect for 2 people. Everything (especially the St Louis ribs, brisket, and corn bread) was delicious!! Staff was friendly and helpful. Very nice rustic setting with clean restrooms. Would eat here again. Highly recommended.

Sooo good! The smell hits you as you walk in. It's so distinct, it really grabs your attention. Maybe that's why we ordered way too much.

Hours for dine in does not match posted hours. We arrived at 11:50 and they said they don't open till noon, and made us wait outside until 12:05 (posted hours are 11:30). Ordered shortly after and didn't receive food until 12:35. Ribs were dry and not quite falling off, Mac and cheese was bland, pulled port was good. Checked in on us once.

Really good BBQ joint in the center of Eagle Rock, one of the best in LA.Sitting outside on the heated patio for dinner is a must, it has the perfect atmosphere for a dinner date. The inside on the other hand is poorly lit and lacks atmosphere, definitely wait for a seat outside. As far as the food goes, I’ve visited 3 times this month (which is saying a lot) and I do have to say that the brisket is consistently good. Nice crust, pinked on the outside, and pretty tender. I’ve also tried the brisket in a sandwich and it was pretty good as well, the bread is very soft and airy, perfection really. The spicy bbq sauce tastes leagues beyond their normal bbq sauce, good thing both are available on every table, whew! The sides are also ALL excellent, my favorite being the coleslaw, vinegary, mmm… The cornbread is also superb and is sure to be completely devoured! This is bbq so let’s talk portions: AVERAGE! You get what you pay for, not anymore, not any less, which is kind of a bummer for the price paid. I personally like my bbq more on the generous side, and here at max city it’s just enough, which is fair enough. As they say, ‘Quality over quantity’.The spot gets a well deserved 5 stars not only for the food but because they also serve quality craft beer and wine! Do it!
