I finally tried the banana pudding and it absolutely delicious, I also tried the lemon blueberry cupcake which was also yummy. The guys working there were all friendly and very helpful with any questions I had. Cute decor and pretty atmosphere. Parking is the only downfall, which is very limited. Overall, I would definitely visit here again.

Banana Pudding was incredible!! Tried vanilla and definitely will be back for more. Brownie & cupcake were also tasty! Street parking at meters out front.

Preordered a birthday cake and when we got it there was half the icing that should have been on it. Picture below you can see cake but they must've run our of German Chocolate icing though we will never know cause phone calls and emails were never returned. Some icing on top and hardly any between layers. Stay away from this place.

The NY bakery chain that started the cupcake craze in the 90’s opened its Los Angeles store in 2011. It has since expanded nationwide and internationally under Steve Abram who took over from the originally owners.Every time I go to NY, I always stopped by Magnolia Bakery in Manhattan on 11 st. to pick up my favorite sweets. I love all their puddings and cupcakes.I have not been to the LA location until today. We stopped by this shop after Easter brunch at Granville down the street. The cupcakes are just as good as the ones in NY. The texture of the cakes are awesome and they are not too sweet. The good thing here is that there is no long line.We got a pecan cheese cake and a banana key lime cake. They both tasted fantastic. The puddings are soft and creamy. You can buy these cupcakes in a dozen and they are perfect for gift giving.

What you see online is not what you get. I feel like this is the wish version of the iconic NYC store. Store seemed tired, dusty, and sad. All of the pastry / cake covers were old and cracked and looked like they were stuck in a dish washer instead of hand washed. The sign said closed, no parking so i called 6x and no one answered. At this point using a Covid abs staffing shortage issue as an excuse doesn’t work as there were plenty of staff. And it’s been over 2 years so time to step up and adjust.. The staff had 0 energy and seemed to not be passionate about pastries. The carrot cake pudding seemed like they just shoved it into the container a week ago with lots of icing not pudding but wasn’t for sure if that was there goal or not. Over all was not excited that i drove 2.5 hrs for this.

you want a slice of cake you want a dessert you want to enjoy something that dissolves in your mouth?? I have my reason to give them three stars nothing more!!

Many thanks to BJ who went WAY beyond the call of duty today. Having confused the dates, I needed a cake at the last minute. When I called three other bakeries and told them any cake would do, they quickly told me they could not even discuss a same day order.Being out of state, I had limited options. So, when I finally called Magnolia Bakery in Los Angeles, I was blessed to have BJ answer the phone. He immediately empathized with me. He put me on hold and spent several minutes making an inventory of EVERY cake and several other options that they had available. So kind!A few minutes ago, I received a text from Los Angeles. “Did you send the cake? It looks amazing!” Indeed it did. The cake and other deserts were delicious and BJ apparently through some ice cream in as well. Great Bakery and Great staff! Thanks Magnolia Bakery!!!!

Came here for their signature banana pudding and finally fell in love with red velvet cheese cake.

Ever since I lived in New Jersey, I've loved going to this store in Manhattan. I love banana pudin.

Best banana pudding! I drove 30 mins just for that and couldn’t wait to eat it in my car, it was so hot, it would’ve melted otherwise. Cheesecake with caramel pecans was amazing. I didn’t like the cupcakes though.I’m still giving 5 stars.
