I had the catfish, eggs and grits with a side of toast. Food was good, hot and priced reasonably. My husband had the chicken and waffles and he devoured it so I guess it was good lol. The place is small but clean and the waitresses were all nice. You have to pay before you get your food which didn’t bother me.
Margaritas at M’Dears, a must have. The service is amazing, the decor awesome. Now one of my favorite places ❤️

I always go for their breakfast plate of catfish grits eggs and toast or sometimes just for a slice or two of their excellent coconut pineapple cake. Very friendly and welcoming staff... Weekends can get really busy but being patient pays off... Any amount of wait time is well worth it...
This place was good. Had an old school feel to it with old school rnb jams playing. French toast scrabble eggs with cheese and bacon was delicious. Also had a blackberry lemonade that was delicious! Definitely going back. ?

This was my last time giving MD a chance to get it right, strike 3 you out, but on this day, they got it right. Prior visits the rating was a 1, for instance when I order cheese on my eggs, I want the cheese melted and cooked with them, not cold cheese thrown on top, and when I order something and there is an extra charge, tell me as my order is taken, I don't want surprises when I get the bill, and please train your servers that body language and tone communicates as well as verbal communication, and finally, when there are unfavorable issues with customers, be genuine in your resolution and do something extra to show that, like a reduction on the bill, or a free dessert, this will help to cover the problem and continue the relationship. My favorite is the grits and chicken wings ?
The food is great but unfortunately the service is not.On two occasions I’ve ordered through Door Dash (pick up) and the order was never given to the kitchen by the staff to cook my order.The first time I asked for the manager or owners information and was told they weren’t available. I waited a hour (the 30 minutes it took originally for my order to be prepared and the additional 30 minutes I sat in the car waiting for my order to be prepared after I was told the order had never been given to the kitchen) in addition as I entered the establishment for the 2nd time I was told it would take an additional 20 minutes because the cook ran out of batter and had to make more.This time the app said arrive at 10:30 so I did. At 11:00 I’m being told my food order had never gone into the kitchen. This time I canceled my order and decided to make a open complaint in hopes the management or owner sees this. Its sad when you have a short staff or the employees attitude towards your order not being fulfilled is as if “(Shoulder shrug ??♀️ OH WELL”).Again the food is great but something has to be worked out to stream line your order process so this doesn’t happen. Perhaps ordering in person or dinning in may have a different experience.No I’ll will to the business or the staff but I can’t let this go on and not say anything. Continued blessings and growth!

Mannnnn....this place is the truth for soul food eating!!! My friend recommended this place, because I would've never known. Simply because it's a small quaint place. I ordered the chicken and banana nut waffles, it was soooooo good! Lol. I'm such a foodie, I get excited when my food is amazing. I can't wait to go back!!! Oh yeah I also ordered a slice of red velvet cake. I'll update you on the taste.....went yesterday and I haven't tried it yet.
