OMG !!! Nowhere on earth like this place. A step back in two time, just like reliving Mexico back in the old days. Carnitas is killer, nopales are one of a kind. And by all means don't forget the handmade tortillas, made fresh right before your own eyes. If you've never been here, you're missing out on life. This Food is Fantastic, it's Mexican and it's Delicious and very Heavy, not for people that are picky or are Counting Calories or on A diet. If you Want a tast of Heaven Start with 2 pounds of pork grinds attached to pork beef fried, chicharon con carne. No one in L A has perfected this like this place ,it's Not Burned or Salty its made Early in the Morning and if you don't get there before 12 noon, they Sell Out. Everything is fresh hand made Thick Tortillas like in Mexico ??, Carnitas, cueros, tripas, etc. Salsas , guacamole , small containers or Large, tacos , burritos . You need to Eat in the parking lot outside on top of your trunk to get that taste right in your mouth right away. Not a lot of parking or tables that's why we eat in the Car or outside my Car Food on Top of the trunk. Holidays be there at 7am everything sells out. Been Eating here since 1977, they used to open at 5AM in the morning for the Holidays and 6am Daily. Take cash and tip the Employee that helps you, they work Very hard and very Fast.

Food is amazing, quality of the meat is definitely great. Although may seem a bit intimidating for first time customers, staff is super friendly.
What makes this place amazing is its authenticity and the fact they are in the kitchen making your tortillas fresh and by hand. It is raw and authentic, locals, noise lots of chaos. It is fantastic! Food was amazing!
Great, local spot that serves bomb carnitas and homemade - thick - flour tortillas. Super reasonable prices and fantastic atmosphere. Definitely a must visit when cruising around east LA for quality food.
Amazing carnitas with fresh and hand made tortillas (a bit on the thick side se be ware if you don’t eat a lot.) They have all you may want to accompany your meal from spice salsas, beans, cactus leaves. Just great all around.
Wow. Probably the most authentic Mexican meal I had ever. Watching them make the tortilla fresh was amazing. Everything was super fresh and can't wait to come back to LA to go back
I had 3 shredded chicken tacos they come with cilantro, onions guacamole and salsa. You can ask for the salsa on the side. They also offer a side of nopales (cactus salad) the cactus salad is a mixture of cactus, tomatoes, onions and I want to say maybe some cilantro. Tacos are huge. If you're a light weight just order 2. The tortillas are handmade and it's not your average tortilla those things are thick. Enjoy!
