We did the tour with Wesla, and it was fantastic. There is a chocolate for everyone! Definitely worth a trip. I'm anticipating additional orders via their online shop after I return home!
Get a chance to try nice quality of local chocolate, they also have a quick tour to the factory process.
Wonderful chocolate shop hidden in plain sight. Staff is always very friendly and patient. They give samples and each one of their chocolates is so good. Some unforgettable flavors. I really like their venezuelan chocolate. A little pricey but it's top tier chocolate and you do get what you pay for.
A must visit when you’re in LA! I came with a group of friends and the friendly owner David gave us plenty of samples and information so we could buy exactly what we wanted! Super fun experience to learn about the process of chocolate making, and trying the delicious chocolate was obviously the cherry on top! Highly recommend!
best chocolate I've ever had, visited family in LA and they had us visit Letterpress! Would love to do the tour, learn and spend more time here next visit
This is more of a passion project than a business. The owners are amazingly talented in many areas. Graphic Design skills really helped with the design of the packaging. We did the tour and really learned a lot. Interestingly, I have made truffles for decades and still learned a lot. Their chocolate is the absolute smoothest bean to bar chocolate than anything out there. Each regional chocolate had its own flavor profile and many are amazingly deep and complex. We are really happy that we took the tour. Very easy to book online.
Chocolate!!! Need I say more? Just took the Chocolate tour and learned all about the process to make the bars and got a sneak peek behind the doors! Even got a chance to sample the different types of chocolate. I appreciate chocolate even more after learning how long it takes to produce a bar. Love supporting a small business and one that takes the time for quality work and treatment of the growers! This is definitely a place you want to go while in Los Angeles. They even have ice cream, hot chocolate, and chocolate JUICE!! Juice made from the pulp of the chocolate bean!! Tastes like fruit juice :) I'm a dark fan so I highly recommend trying the 85% and above! The 70% are perfect for those new to true chocolate! The bars are completely worth the price!
I have visited few places that created the experience I had at Letterpress. David was super kind and helpful. Learned a lot and left feeling amazing. Will be back for sure a highly recommend.
Bought a Tanzania hot chocolate and it was smooth, creamy, and sweet despite bring just 70% cacao. They used oat milk too. Also bought a T-shirt as a gift. They give tours during the weekend.
Everything about this place is top class, unbelievable chocolates, a fantastic variety of local produce and a good sense of humour made our visit so welcoming.
