I’ve had a lot of Tacos during my time living in SoCal. Leo’s has the best Tacos Al Pastor that I’ve ever had. This is definitely their signature taco, but it was just incredible. The price comes out to about two dollars per taco, so it’s worth it to get several of them. There’s not much seating around, but they’re perfect to grab and go and eat them at a nearby park!
Al pastor is the best taco here, like they advertised on the foodtruck. Cabeza and tripa are delicious as well! Asada and chorizo are okay, buche is a lottle gamey. The price is very affordable here; they only take cash btw. Food truck is located at a gas station and there is no table and chair set up around. We ended up sitting at the bus stop right there to enjoy the food ?
Best Al pastor tacos in America!
Yum! They’re right about their Al Pastor. It’s moist, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Tacos are very small and very affordable ($2 each). Along with the tacos you get (at no charge) three different sauces (red spicy, green spicy, green creamy), radish slices, lemon slices, and chopped cilantro. The sauces are in little plastic cups with lids, and each of the other sides comes in it’s own little plastic bag. The tacos are wrapped in foil, and all of it is given to you in a plastic bag. This makes it very convenient to get an order to go and transport it without making a mess. I also got their asada taco which was good but not mind-blowing like their al pastor. The truck takes cash only. Fortunately the Sinclair station they park at has an ATM right outside (with a $2.50 withdrawal fee). The speaker they use to call out numbers is unintelligible. Listen for your number called out in Spanish. Or if you don’t speak Spanish, pay attention to who was ahead of you in line and watch them like a hawk hahaha. Would eat here again. I now want to try everything else on their menu that includes al pastor mmm.
You can’t say you’ve been to LA if you haven’t had Leo’s Taco’s. As a Dominican from the East Coast, I have to give it to Mexican cuisine, it’s the best tasting Latino cuisine period! LA taco trucks are a unique experience in and of itself. It’s usually after a night out of drinking to the point of getting smashed your brain enters a phase of wanting ingest some delicious dirty food. Forget about restaurant chains, Leo’s taco truck is the bomb! And let’s not forget the staff. They are hard-working, polite, respectful and beautiful people. I appreciate their product and service. What more do you need? Stop reading and go get yourself some food!
Amazing tacos! Honestly wasn’t the biggest fan of the Al pastor tacos, but went back for seconds for the cabesa tacos. The parking lot can get kind of chaotic when it’s busy. There’s better parking around the corner off the residential streets. Cash only!
Best tacos I’ve ever had, and I’ve had hundreds of different places.
I was looking for the best place for tacos al pastor in the area and Leo's was a strong suggestion. As soon as I saw the photo of "el trompo" , I knew this was the real deal. Convinced my partner to try this and there we go.I didn't see anywhere this truck only took cash though!! We had to go and decided it was worth it to return. I'm glad we did! Not disappointed by el pastor tacos: They were juicy, the meat was well seasoned, thin sliced and tender. The pineapple on top is like the cherry on the cake but better. The carne asada was okay, a little dry and greasy. Not as flavorful. The quesadilla with al pastor was also delicious, but pretty big so we couldn't eat it all, so sad.Be prepared to get in line and eat in your car, standing there or elsewhere.
Great authentic taco ? truck not far from Hollywood ? my fav was the chicken taco and don’t miss out on the red drink they got ?? I think it has hibiscus ? in it
Great spot to stop after climbing at Cliffs of Id. Al pastor tacos were awesome.
