Very well stocked and super nice location
Decent hot bar and convenient small grocery store to get your essentials
What a beautifully stocked and arranged market. Everything is there in a easy to navigate compact format.Wonderful fruits and vegetables, mostly organic, a large vegan section plus a freshly prepared section with foods to go.
The environment is filled with pretentious energy from a majority of people drawn to this grocery store. I want to start with the fact that I regularly tell people that this is my favorite grocery store, but I often pull up as close to opening as possible to avoid certain vibes. Today @ around 9:30 am proved this theory for myself.I was attacked, disrespected, and disregarded by a white man, and while the cashier acknowledged that this particular customer was wrong, he, the security, nor any other employee did anything. I’m angry at that fact and that I didn’t defend myself more aggressively. After speaking with the manager, she said they would review the tapes and use this as a teaching moment for the staff, and yes that's the end of it.I’m there often because it is close to my residence, and their produce is better than most. If every demographic isn't safe here, to me that means every demographic isn't welcome. Stand on that.
nice selections, generally pleasant store but always waiting in line for way too long
Nice to have a coffee shop and a small food court inside the store. Salads, soups, sushi rolls, etc. Friendly and helpful staff. Store is well stocked. Variety of fresh veges too. Parking is ample.
Good service. It has tons of good organic products.
Great for fresh beveragesJuice that's bottled fresh..Like ginger shots when cold weather hits. The produce in front.Good deals on aromatherapy .
There is a good varity of selections here but the customers services can be horrible at time. I was just there today (7/26) and a elderly lady was asking one of the cashier (Angela) if she could have a bag for her grocery. I watch as she continues to ask and being ignored. I found this annoying because good customer services is a vital part in any retail.
I’ll swing by Lassens if I’m in the downtown Echo Park area as it’s the only health superstore for miles. I love the specific products that I buy however despite the many great products their prices are always too high. I buy maybe ten products from them repeatedly if that and these brands and products are available at other health superstores. I’d say Erewon is the only health superstore that charges more than Lassens. It’s more expensive than Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, sprouts, I mean Lassens are like ~6x more expensive than Food for Less when the better quality vegetables are at the “cheapest” option!! So enjoy Lassens for what it is, an expensive health food store and if you shop with that knowledge you won’t be shocked when you come across items you pay $3 for at other stores but Lassens costs $7+...you’ll be ready. Good luck and enjoy.
