Great pastrami sandwich. Russian dressing was excellent. Very expensive because of the name. I would probably get the hot pastrami to get the bread grilled next time as the bread was a bit soggy. Cool atmosphere inside. Neighborhood around was overrun with homeless.
Absolutely awesome breakfast/brunch. We went the family and tried 4 different dishes. The no. 19 pastrami sandwich is the best I’ve ever had. This place is lake taken out from the 50’s diner concept, in fact I believe nothing has changed Spence the 50’s and should not, very authentic place, the waiters in old style uniforms, background music and old school leather couches. A must try when in town!
Good food, not entirely worth the hype, small portions for the price tag, sandwiches come on their own. Would expect fries or something since its roughly 18-30$ per person!Pastrami was very soft and wet, but not overly flavourful.
I've heard about this place quite awhile, but it was only 3 weeks ago that we were able to dine in ... it's true their Pastrami Sandwich on Rye is a 5 star ? and the server who attended to us ( she's so kind and helpful )I highly recommend Langer's. Sad to say that they're close on Sundays
Only been there once and had the pastrami sandwich on rye bread, it was delicious! Comes with a house made pickle that was very crisp and tasty. Clean restaurant and very friendly staff. Parking lot is close to the entrance.Try it, I think you will like the food and service.
Gwen took great care of us. we had the #19 which is the best pastrami I've ever eaten. the kid's loved the spaghetti and the club was delicious too. be sure to get the fries. Norm was there working hard and I gave him a shout out. worth the wait. delicious.
It's a great pastrami sandwich also love the coleslaw and pickle. To be fair it's not, Russ and Daughters, or Katz's or the late great Second Ave Deli but it's very satisfying. Just wish they would get the square knishes.
Ahhhh, always a special time to go back to an old favorite. I recommend going early before the lunch crowd's in the middle of the week. It's less crowded and you get your orders in quick. You go with the number 19 for Pastrami or the number 5 if you're a corned beef fan. Enjoy the pastrami chili fries and share with somebody it's pretty big. If you're daring and you don't finish your whole sandwich enjoy one of their slices of delicious cheesecake with strawberry topping or apple pie with brandy wine sauce "alamode."
O.m.g Friendly service delicious food bring wallet with a credit so you can bring for lunch tomorrow . Just wish they had 1 in Bay area.
Langer’s is solid but nothing special. Sue our waitress answered our questions and was efficient and friendly. I suggest using the validated parking up the street. The restaurant is old school, very neat and clean. The food was good, similar to Katz’s
