My first time trying Ethiopian food. My cousin is a vegetarian so this was a wonderful meal but since I mainly tried the veggie utopia, I wished I ordered a more meatier option. The veggie utopia was aesthetically pleasing and also quite tasty especially their lentils and carrot potatoes. The street gets busy and parking can be quite hard to find.

?? ETHIOPIA (via Eat the World Los Angeles) - On a street with so many options, Lalibela is constantly standing out and always consistent, like dining in the home of the family that is cooking for you.

The server here was very quiet and aloof-"not at all friendly- but quick and efficient. The food was very tasty.I had the ' chicken tibs' , one of only two chicken dishes available ( there are a LOT of beef dishes plus some with lamb and some vegetarian dishes). There is a wide assortment of Ethiopian drinks: beers, a homemade honey wine ( which I had and it was very good), and coffee ( which I also had and was also very good and totally unlike any other coffee I've ever drunk).Surprisingly reasonably priced for L.A. .

We chose this restaurant because it was wheelchair accessible and offered gluten-fee injera...two of our requirements for restaurants. We got both, and a delicious dinner in a lovely atmosphere, too. The veggie combination is recommended so you can have a nice variety of flavors.

This place is freaking amazing!!!!! We had a big party and they were so accommodating and sweet! The doro wat was so delicious, I'm drooling. The coowner getahun was especially kind and so much fun! The ambience was great and my Ethiopian friend who brought us here said it was a very authentic experience and food like home! I'm definitely coming back!

Fantastic Ethiopian option on Fairfax in Little Ethiopia. Food is great, service is excellent, and the prices are fair. Ethiopian is best with a group.

I've been here several times and the quality of the food and service has always been INCREDIBLE. Please do yourself a favor and try their house lemonade, crispy sambusas and shiro -- you'll not regret it!

Ordered the fish. Was cold and completely burnt. More like fish jerky. So disappointed. And for the price?! Never again! I’ll stick with Merkato

Nice place and very good food

Eating here is a perfect dining experience.I enjoy every aspect of this restaurant from the food to the presentation to the portions to the ambiance.
