Love this place. Super glad it’s close to me too! If you’re in the hood definitely check it out. Really no frills coffee shop, they know their stuff and their Guatemala beans are excellent.
There are too many pretentious coffee shops in LA. I care about the quality of the coffee, but if you are cold and a jerk for no reason, why would I buy coffee from you (i.e intelligentsia).Lab is amazing. They are super friendly, the coffee is great, and this place always has a welcoming/calm vibe. It's a very low-key coffee shop but I love how the barista has a friendship with nearly all the customers that seem to walk in. It's not hard to be nice to your customers, and this guy clearly has that figured out.Will definitely be making this place one of my regular spots.

A cafe specifically specializing in coffee expertise. I don't know anything about coffee but I don't have to when I live next to Lab.Been coming here literally every day for 3 years now and no cafe has compared yet ;)

Lab Coffee & Roasters has become my goto coffee place in SGV. They roast their own beans, have a great selection of coffee and drinks, and a decent food menu. Located just a block away from center of Old Town. Can't ask for more.
Perfect Pour over Guatemala coffee with mocha flavors exhibited. Serene environment to actually taste my coffee. There is parking lot or walk up available. I had a nice chat with area locals. My current go-to pour over spot.
Look for: Very good coffee and matcha pastries. Parking spots. In a strip mall with a great restaurant.Standouts: Matcha scones and creative coffee based drinks. Most of te employees are good.Drawbacks: One very inconsiderate employee.

This coffee shop was a wonderful treat to visit. I am able to rest and feel at ease thanks to their support. I did not make a mistake in selecting this coffee establishment to unwind. It was difficult to locate a facility that was both competent and appealing to my tastes. I am really pleased by how effectively they served their customer without any issues.
