It seems like all the old school restaurants in Highland Park are beginning to disappear, replaced by cold and expensive places that cater to.... ? People who don't like or understand Mexican food or the value of having great service?Thankfully, LaFuente stays strong! The service is friendly, fast and professional, the food is generous, delicious, very fresh and very authentic. There is a full bar, excellent margaritas... Make it a Cadillac Margarita!...And they keep the lights low, making the place feel cozy and mellow, just what you want in a Mexican restaurant... Soccer on the TV's, keeping it real! No gimmicks or anything fancy, just a good solid restaurant.
I have been coming to this restaurant with my dad the owner of Leo’s tacos since I was a little girl. This was one of my dads favorite restaurant to go to when he was alive. He would always tell me that he wanted to have lunch here before he passed. After a long time I came with my mom and my sister and I was so disappointed. When we came into the restaurant all the employees were talking to each other and we were left standing. After a while a new employee that we never seen walks us to our table. He did not say welcome or Hi he just threw the menus at the table and left. When it was time to order he came to our table and just stool there and said “are you guys going to order?” with a really bad attitude. The service has really changed since I have been here and it’s so sad. The owner needs to be careful at who he’s hiring because it’s making his business look bad.
How I love Eagle Rock Ca, a fresh skinny margarita on the rocks great service great Music parking lot right at Eagle rock and Colorado Boulevard on the south west corner family run for 40 years the chips were fresh as can be my meal was an appetizer but mouthwatering I can’t complain extensive menu televisions Booths And generations of family turns out are the ones helping you put thumbs up ?good job?
Was bomb.. ordered 3 different tacos a shrimp , potato n carnitas.. I enjoyed them all but loved the carnitas taco.. each carnita piece was so toasty n crispy just how I like it.. very filling. Loved the atmosphere on a Sunday morning
Always a great food experience. Everyone was very helpful by making sure our basket of chips were never empty.
La lengua en mole was fantastic. The meat, melt in your mouth tender and the mole spiced by an artist.
You know the old saying "don't judge a book by its cover"? Well don't judge this place from the parking lot. It may not look the best from the outside, but as soon as you go through the doors you are in a very nice restaurant. The staff is friendly, the food very good (I don't think I've ever had fresher guacamole!) with plenty of choices on the menu. A full bar, and yes, good margaritas ?.
Handmade Tortillas, Autheny Mexican grub with 3 huge television screens to watch your favorite team, parking is a little limited but the food and service make up for that?
Love, love, love it, it's our favorite place to eat great tasting Mexican food...... original taste, it doesn't get any better than this place.
We are from out of state and we’re looking for something to eat after we could get a nice drink too. We were very happy with our choice. We had the fajitas and it was a generous portion of deliciousness! Everything was seasoned well. My husband who said he doesn’t care for retried beans ate all of his and enjoyed them. I asked for a side of sour cream and expected the tiny cup like I usually got but the portion was very generous. We enjoyed our mixed drinks as well. I would very much recommend eating here.
