The burritos here are not as good as they were 30 years ago. So it was kind of disappointing having a burrito now. Perhaps the thing that made the food better back then was the care put into preparing good, flavorful meat. IIRC back then the meat was cooked using the traditional method of a vertical rotisserie with heat from wood coals. So the meat had this great smoky flavor. Now the meat is prepared on griddle and tastes like it.

This mini market in East Los Angeles has the BEST rotisserie chicken around.. Better then Costco, or Ralph's or any other market. Its a little higher $9 but worth it.. They only make so many chickens a day go early.. You can get chicken alone or with rice, beans, salsa and fresh made corn tortillas for $15..
I love to buy the burn lard and add a little to my smashed beans, delicious

the food is really good and they serve big portions I payed 9$there is alot steak in this plate...if you don't want tortillas you can get 2 bolillos instead...he gave me the cup of chile macho with nuts its delicious im Def going to buy some next time I go..I go once a week here.. there flame broiled chicken is so good?
