In general, as everyone else has described, it's a taco truck with Korean twist. Overall, good taco, good burrito, and I definitely can taste the Korean seasoning. Some tartness also comes from the vegetable, which somewhat taste like kimchi.Overall pretty good, but for me personally it kinda beats the purpose. Don't get me wrong; I get what fusion is, but this time around I don't see the point of eating korean bbq in small portion and wrapped with tortilla. On the flip side of the coin, I love taco and burrito because of their signature Mexican taste. That's for me, which is absolutely subjective.I came on off hours so relatively very little queue, but after I ordered the wait is way way too long for 1 burrito and 4 tacos. That's a put off for sure.Expensive? No, it's quite affordableWould I return? Maybe not
Always a must stop each time we’re in LA.The blackjack quesadilla is crazy good. Probably the best quesadilla I ever had.Looking forward to going back next time we’re in LA.
GET THE SHORT RIB BURRITO!! That is what they are known for and completely missed the mark for my first time here! The tacos are okay, but the burrito is on a completely different level.
Amazing tacos with a few great veggie options. The tofu was better than the spring onion but all in very tasty. I’d go back again just for the Korean fries
This was a long awaited stop. I’d heard so much about these tacos and read Roy’s cookbook. U fortunately, it was a bit disappointing. I probably had my expectations set too high after wanting to eat it for a long time. Meat was very saucy and sweet and the flavors didn’t blend well for me. I thought it was actually on the bland side. I expected more and it didn’t deliver. I’m still a fan of Roy though!
Overall the taste of the short rib tacos was unbelievable…however some pieces of the meat were chewy and inedible. Overall with higher quality meat this would be a 5 star experience, but as it is now it’s only a 4. The prices were low and overall a really good value.
Yraveled from Oregon to eat here but it was worth the wait. The quesadilla was a meal in itself and the spicy pork burrito was amazing. Wish I could come.back weekly.
Their food can be amazing and the prices are good, but the service and quality are inconsistent. I've eaten there dozens of times over the years and will probably keep eating there, but there are a few tips to make sure you're not disappointed. For instance, never order their fries on a Sunday or you won't get seasoning (see attached photo). Also, don't order on a Tuesday night as the manager those nights is disorganized so food doesn't get prepared in time, sits for longer, or you end up with the wrong order.
I got the OG koji style Buritto. It was a burrito with kalbi short ribs inside. It was a regular sized burrito. I could taste the sweetness of the kalbi short ribs in my first bite. Had a good amount of meat inside with some veggies. Tasted really good although I wish the short ribs were grilled more with some char on the edges. Pretty tasty and unique burrito.I also ordered their chicken wings. It had 3 humongous chicken wings. It was generously lathered in a slightly sweet tangy sauce. Didn't enjoy eating this beacause gets really messy. It tasted decent though. I would not eat this inside my car. You'll need a lot of napkins.I would try to eat their burrito again and try their tacos.
Huge fan of chef Roy after watching Favreau on Chef show on Netflix! HAD to try the short rib tacos with kimchi as well as the Carne asadas. Worth the trek. Still drooling wanting more a day later.
