Still as good as I remember it.Prices raised a little bit and sometimes there is a line around the place.Quick service, spent 30 mins tops there. These photos are okay but the experience was incredible!5 hand-roll set..salmon sashimi and an extra lobster roll as well hehe ?Warm rice and cold fish, crispy nori so fresh served immediatelyVery pleased by the service.Something quick and light. Come!

Came for the first time after hearing so many good things about this place from my son. We decided to come here to celebration my son’s graduation. We came on a weekend and the line was long but fast. The dining concept is simple, grab a menu and seat down and tick off what you want. For the indecisive eater like me, the menu has 3/4/5/6 set dinner and a drink list.Four of us tried from 3 to 6. We all felt full. The crispy seaweed and warm rice with the fresh fish are perfect combination for a great sushi dining experience.Service was friendly and efficient. That’s why the wait was not too long despite the long line. You can park in the garage next door or on the street.

Cool place , only bar seating . Turnover is fairly quick. No wine or liquor, beer and sodas .Staff was great. Not a big sushi person, but this was by far the freshest and best I ever had. Fairly pricy.

One of the best sushi spots in Downtown LA. Fresh fish, ingredients and made right in front of you.Don’t expect elaborate rolls, just a basic menu with excellent flavor. No eel sauce, just soy sauce, ginger and wasabi…boomBe aware that there’s no reservations and it’s walk in only, so expect a wait on peak times.

I really enjoyed eating here. I wish San Diego had something similar. We went here during the first year of the pandemic in 2020. There was a line to get in, but the wait didn't feel too long. Maybe 30 minutes or less of waiting time.Once we were seated, service was quick and helpful. We ordered the six hand rolls per person. They were all excellent. I especially loved the toro, lobster and salmon. These hand rolls changed my view of hand rolls. There is something wonderful about hand rolls with good quality fish/sea food and warm rice.We parked kind of far from the restaurant, because we were in the area to walk around. Parking might be an issue.I look forward to eating here again.

Today we got a unique experience of the Japanese kitchen. and it blows up my mind!It is the best sushi in my life for sure!I love the vibe, I love the style, and I am absolutely in love withe the taste of Every bite!!! I definitely recommend this place for all fish lovers!

Great place to have sushi, no dress code, they request proof of vacation and ID, this is the best please to have sushi in town so far, this is my fav

You know what? I get it. I understand why so many people laud this place as having the best hand roll in town and having the chef prepare it right in front of you was something to marvel at. This place elevated a simple Japanese stable into something better: art. I started off with the the uni hand roll(a seasonal option) and was absolutely floored, the buttery taste left me wanted more, but at $14, I was out. I then proceeded to have the 5 course hand roll meal for $23, and was left completely satisfied. It can get busy so arrive early. Also, be aware that you will be sitting next to some strangers in an enclosed place, but staff was diligent in checking everyones' vaccination card and ID. The standouts were the: crab, lobster, toro, yellow tail, scallops(IT"S ALL GOOD)! I'll definitely be returning.

Best restaurant in LA. Every bite is pure elation. If you haven’t eaten here in person it’s a must. You can be in and out in 15 mins if there’s no line, but that doesn’t mean it’s a unrewarding experience. There’s nothing quite like getting handed directly from the chef KazuNori’s hot crispy rolls and devouring it within a few seconds. I could eat only the salmon rolls for the rest of my life they’re so good.

A bit pricey for very small and simple rolls. I spent $30 on 5 rolls and left hungry. There is only one person who makes all the rolls while all the other staff just stand around. Very slow service. Rolls were tasty though.
