Delicious. Delicious. Delicious. The thick sliced, French dipped pastrami sandwich on rye was amazing.Fries were amazing. Loved their take on the ranch dipping sauce.Pastrami burger hit! My son LOVED IT!Probably wouldn't get the banana pie again. It was just alright. They have plenty of outdoor seating and truly revamped the place. It is worth a look throughI believe they are closed on Mondays.
I grew up going to this place with my family. After moving back to SoCal recently, I was so glad to see it was still here and thriving. I took a few friends here, because they had heard of it, but never been. They're all hooked, and its just as good as I remember it. The french dip pastrami is my gold standard for all other pastrami sandwiches, and no where else in the world have I had one as good as Johnny's. Will definitely be eating here at least once every time I'm back up to LA
The bar area was the best! DJ's drinks and soul! Next time I'll try the pastrami sandwich!
If you're in the market for a new religion, may I suggest Pastrami burnt ends, and your Mecca: Johnny's. Johnny Fries were insane,The burgers were smashed, classic, and perfect. Staff was kind. Pickles were crisp. I have literally no complaints. I just. I wanna live here. Not Los Angeles. Johnny's Pastrami.
One of those rare spots in LA that can serve up a killer vibe and chef the food to match. Probably the closest you’ll ever get to true NYC-quality pastrami on the West Coast. We had the traditional mustard pastrami sandwich, coleslaw, fries, and a green goddess salad. Patio features mature greenery that sets a big mood as you devour your melt-in-yo-mouf pastrami featuring crispy bread from Tartine. Oh, did I mention they make their own soda too? Order the ginger and sage. We’ll be back often.
My Spicy Dog was delicious. The Winnie was a little small but it was ok, still stuffed it in my mouth. I like the pickles and the yellow peppers they were crisp and fresh. The ranch sauce for the frites was perfect. The drink was refreshing. The music was great too. The set up outside is nice w heaters. Staff was super nice and pleasant. The facility was also very clean. Pricey specially for the little winnie. But I would still go again it was pretty tasty.
Like pastrami? You will love this place. This place is second to none. I chowed down on a meal that titillated my taste buds and gratified my gullet. I had the classic pastrami sandwich with a side of coleslaw and the Johnny fries. My compliments to the chef/cooks/owner.
I did not recognize the place. I had not been since around 2010 and the food was good then and years later it's just as good. The dipping sauce they include with the fries is the ? ? ? ? ,although I lice in Moreno Valley, Johnnie's is where I'll drive for one of there pastrami. I don't care if they have several "Hat's on the way, they have NOTHING! on Johnnie's Pastrami. Just hope for a closer parking spot.
Excellent brisket - basically can't go wrong here for anything on the menu: for a high calorie, high protein, high fat delicious meal.Nice outdoor seating and rear patio.. dedicated parking w/attendant, nice bar in the back.We used to come here decades ago when the neighborhood was much, much sketchier and master burger down the street had 1" thick plexiglass windows and a bullet proof drawer that you put your money into.
These are the SAME Pastramis from back in the Day. I missed this place while it was gone. Now its a lil gentrified Gem. They even have a Bar up in there that opens at 5pm. Pricey as hell for a meat-sanwich and fries but its worth it..oh bayBEEEEE, its Worth ITTT!
