We went for late dinner, it wasn't that crowded and we sat right away. We noticed the ipad on the table, thought it was pretty cool so started to browse the menu but the ipad was little slow and non responsive. The food came fast, the tech and vibe are pretty cool.
had takeout from here! i ordered the beef sukiyaki bento box. the value is good and food was solid. the egg and beef were perfectly cooked!
Izakaya Sasaya is incredible. I live in the neighborhood and I've been getting door dash from them since we moved here but my fiance and I finally went into the restaurant last night. There are so many incredible food options in the area, given japantown is right there, but this one is a secret gem. I'm surprised it isn't more busy! The inside was very vibey and each table is made to feel private... and every table has its own order iPad. We thought this was super convenient. But down to the food. WOW. there are menu options not available for delivery that we tried in the restaurant and food was fast to come out. The beef short rib came out sizzling on a platter! Incredible. will be going again very soon! 10/10 please try it!!
Very RUDE Japanese Hostess/waiter.Maybe she’s an owner and doesn’t care about customers when she’s not in the mood.Or just hates her job.First time it happened I thought okay maybe she was tired.But recently she treated me and my friend as garbage again. I’m not going there anymore.
This place is fantastic. We came in looking for a late dinner and everything was outstanding. I especially liked the smokey duck skewers and the salmon / avocado roll. My wife loves mentaiko so she got the mentai-udon which was perfect. The chazuke to end the meal was just right. Highly recommended
Horrible service, you now have to use an iPad built into the wall to order which is very difficult since the interface doesn’t operate properly. You can’t hold it in your hand which makes it awkward to order Portions are small as is true for most Japanese cuisine but having to order multiple dishes with this technology makes you under order and not want to return The black cod was raw when delivered. Service was horrible Literally never saw someone unless they delivered something to the table and were gone instantly. Didn’t ask us how we weee doing if we wanted something else or much interaction at all Soup was delivered 15 minutes after all the other dishes at the end of the meal which was quite strange and it was boiling hot making it inedible at first Definitely wouldn’t go back
Dirty place, I don’t know how LA County has this place open it’s very dirty inside. Less than average Food and the rudest & worst customer service/staff I have ever met. Asked the lady that works there where the bathroom is she told me to go look for it. Absolutely disgusting. If I could give this place less than one star I would. Zero stars. .
As always, the food at Izakaya Sasaya was delicious. We love coming here when craving “meat on sticks” and roasted ginnan. Who knew such a craving existed? We really like the Japanese style ordering system where you order and prepay at a table side kiosk. It reduces interactions during these weird Covid times, and lets us order more with no hassle. It also allows us to get up and leave when we’re done!

I haven't been to the location myself yet as I order from Sasaya often through Postmates (at least once every 2 weeks) (: I love it!! Currently it's my favorite spot and I live pretty close by. Can't wait to try dining in! The quality is quite remarkable considering how reasonable the prices are. If you're thinking about at least ordering from here, you won't be disappointed! :D Today I ordered again but dug in too quickly to take photos. Next time though!
