Meh. I just ordered the 6pcs assorted patties. The pastry is perfect and flaky but the meat filling is far from a good tasty jamaican patty. The patty is definitely full of filling but the meat filling itself doesn’t have much meat, I’d say it’s mostly bread crumbs or whatever filler they used. The flavors are very subtle, so it’s bland. I make jamaican patties when I have time because it’s a lot of work. But these are not worth my $5 for each
I just received my jerk chicken order. The food is good but I'm very disappointed that I was given white rice and not the rice and peas I ordered. I was really looking forward to it
Patties: Amazing as always. Soft, flaky, fresh, tastyJerk Chicken Plate: Meh. The food was piping hot but I was given 1 piece that seemed old and overcooked/hard, seasoning left more to be desired, the other piece was tough.Service: Not as friendly as it was when I used to hit the trick up on the side of the whole foods. Was really looking forward to coming to this new location to support. A little let down. The patties are still my favorite in the city though.
The customer service was great !! But the taste of them oxtails was like they just used brown gravy ? i was not impressed coming West Indian family and me being a chef i just knew this was going to be a great food experience. Where was the seasoning ?
Today I had an amazing meal. I ordered an oxtail plate & a guava tart patty. The food was hot & had exquisite taste. I know there aren't too many Caribbean spots in LA, but this place has something special. The service is accommodating & efficient. I remember first buying patty's from off of the truck when they used to park near Whole Foods. All I can say to the business is to keep up the great work & bringing diversity to LA dining! I was raised on this kind of food, & I plan on coming back for more delicious meals! I highly recommend their food to any one reading this review!
One of my main spots to eat. great location, well kept, and great customer service. 5 stars!
Amazing food! Great staff!
they have this one worker there michael and the costumer service is the best, black owned businesses are slept on this is bomb ash.
I was in the mood for a Jamaican beef patty for some reason and I googled Jamaican Restaurants DTLA and this truck popped up as number two on the list so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the spicy beef and curry chicken. Both patties were delicious, however, I would definitely go back to purchase more of the curry chicken. They were seasoned to perfection. I will definitely be back.
Definitely a place worth stopping over, the food is good and well prepared, the rates are reasonable and it is constantly neat here. Great work.
