Another mediocre Chinese restaurant. Expensive, but not special.Peking duck was too sweet & meat had a bad after taste. Most of the other foods were ok. Every single items were ok & we had lot better in other places and lot cheaper as well. It’s a nice dining place, colorful foods, but lacked real taste of China & definitely on the pricer side. Parking is a challenge in that area, even at night
When i was a teenager, i loved coming here to eat with my parents. Now that im older, i decided to give it another try and bring my wife to eat here. It was then i realized that this place had gone downhill real bad over time. They at times forget to bring you some items you order. If you place a phone order, they will charge you for exactly what you asked. However upon inspecting your order, it will always be clear that they “forgot” 2-3 items on your order. Another thing that has gone down is the quality and amount of food youre give.I ordered Mongolian Beef. Upon opening the plate, i began taking out just the meat and ended up with only 7 small pieces of beef. However the rest of the plate was filled with nothing but onions and all other ingredients used.
It was time for midnight munchies so drove around Chinatown and found this restaurant open. The two waitresses were busy taking orders and bringing the food to the tables. We ordered coconut walnut shrimp which was a bit pricy, sea food fried rice, and another spicy meat dish. The food was delicious and flavored just right, I enjoyed every bite.
By far the best item we have had is the Lobster with black bean sauce...and there wonton soup. We have been going there for over 20 years and the food never fails on satisfying our bellys
I love this place!! I come here after school often, be it with my friends or just by myself, and the staff are always so nice. Their lunch special is awesome, and even without it the food is very reasonably priced, and the portions are generous- and the food is always delicious!
Delicious Chinese food in the middle of Chinatown, open till late, do check the hours before going. Have lunch and late night specials. Didn't have their lobster dish but we will be back. Parking lot is clean and free.
The lack of responsiveness bordered on rude. The appetizer ( steamed dumplings) was tasty but my chicken and vegetable dish was really vegetables minus chicken. My 1 star rating is based primarily on substandard service. And it wasn't as if the restaurant was busy. There were hardly any customers. With all the choices in Chinatown, I will never set foot in this one again.
Panda express is a 5 star gourmet meal compared to this place. We waited for 20 minutes before this woman yelled at us while taking our order. The portions are large and flavorless. Had we dined and dashed it would have cost us too much money. We had to get up to leave after waiting another 20 minutes so we could pay for this muck. We were unwilling to give the leftovers to a starving homeless person they were so bad.
Seafood is fresh and delicious
I've lived down the street for years but would only eat in Chinatown probably 3 times or less a year (pretty much only at Pho 87), just too many choices and I'm vegan. But I was happy to find this place this week and realize they have a whole list of vegan options. This guide on the door is so handy, I appreciate it very much. AND being open until 1am makes this a great late night food option for me. I often forget to eat and am stuck with chips and salsa at the Mexican place by my house or going to Echo Park for overpriced food (after 10pm). The food was tasty, with good portion size, overall good value. And I can walk here. I've only tried one dish on this list so far (more than once) but I will be back.
