The cupcakes look pretty, but all they are is Instagram worthy.They don't have quite a variety as the display leads you to believe. They only really have 3 types of cupcakes: white, chocolate, and carrot (red velvet too, but that's basically chocolate). All the "variety" is just the frosting on top.The white and chocolate are whatever. They are kinda dry, don't have that flavor. I can get a better tasting cupcake from the Vons bakery.The frosting is really hard. Good frosting should be airy and fluffy. Trying to bite into the cupcake was weird because of how hard the frosting is. I tried 2 of the 4. The carrot cake leaves a lot to be desired.Overall, I wouldn't return .
The service was outstanding. I was helped immediately despite it being busy and they answered al my questions and had the cake ready within minutes. But I’m sad to say that the cake is just not that good. It’s dry. And the center filling/icing tasted like just plain sugary icing - like grocery store icing. We ate it the day after we bought it. This is the second time we get a cake here and both times it was dry and not good. This picture shows a white cake with chocolate filling.
We were standing in line that was wrapped outside the door, and when we finally got to order our cupcakes, the worker skipped us to serve a white family right behind us. We stood there for about 10 minutes waiting to be served. Hoping that maybe someone else would come and help us. Nobody came to serve us. So I spoke up and asked why we were skipped. The lady said she didn’t see us, but we were standing right in front of her the whole time. Previously when the people in front of us were served and while she served the white family. She saw us and chose to rush and serve the white family instead. Sad thing is that the white Family didn’t even say we were in line ahead of them. We just want to be treated equally. We won’t ever give my money to this establishment again.

Today I came in for gluten free and regular cupcakes. The gentleman who served me was attentive and helpful, and I believe he may be the owner. I asked my tiny tarot cards about the vibe of the bakery and the queen of pentacles jumped out. It made sense, because the way that he handed me the bag was like it contained priceless treasure. Considering I got my Halloween themed wedding cake here, I wouldn't disagree.
The cupcakes were displayed beautifully. However, my icing was hard as a rock and my cupcake was cold. Maybe I needed warm them up prior to eating them... but I ended up throwing in the basura. SadFace
We hired Hansen’s Cakes to provide carrot cake cupcakes for our mother-in-law’s 100th birthday party. Hansen’s has many options to suit your preferences. Guests thought the cupcakes were delicious and just the right size to have after a feast of a meal. Working with Hansen’s Cakes took some patience on my part. If you get put on hold after calling them, do not hang up! They will get to your call and be very professional about taking your order. We were especially pleased with Hansen’s because they delivered to our party venue on time on a Sunday afternoon.
I’m not sure what’s going on with this bakery lately. I emailed them regarding a cake I’m looking to buy and I never received a reply. I called a couple of days after sending the email and it was difficult to get an answer. When I finally got someone on the phone, he told me the emails are answered in the order received, so I’d just have to wait. A week went by and still no response to the email. I tried calling again and no one answers. I completely understand I’m not the only customer, but I’d think a week to reply to an email is pretty generous. So I’ve decided to shop other bakeries at this point. Maybe Hansens has become to preoccupied with bigger clients.
I used to like Dots cupcakes over in Pasadena, until I tried these. Now I can’t go anywhere else. Just amazing frosting. I come here too often ??♀️
This place has provided our family with all our special occasions. they are sweet ladies who handle us well. The best cake in the world. They also offer cupcakes for $1. Who can buy anything for a $1 in la! the best ever, always fresh.
