Love the food in this small restaurant serving modern Korean fare. Chef Justin Min recently changed the menu so it’s less the Korean Italian fusion he originally offered. The boolgogi risotto, dweji dubbap and galbi jjim are absolute must haves. His take on shrimp toast includes tuna. The pork hoppang is melt in the mouth and spicy delicious. I was looking forward to his black sesame panna cotta but he didn’t have any last night. The food is exciting and I’m looking forward to trying other dishes.

Loved this place! It was my first time and I live very close so I can go walking. It was really a finding! I got the ramen, the broth is light but super flavorful and the oxtail was very tender. The portion is great too. Also the customer service is great! Super polite and attentive. Always coming to the table asking if it’s all good. And the check comes in a very cute book.In short, they really pay attention to details. I really recommend!

Came here with a reservation on Friday and got seated immediately! This place is super cute and super new.Good:I really liked the bulgogi risotto and the tteoki mac n cheese because it was just super unique and tasty. The risotto had a great amount of flavor and portion size. The oxtail ramen was tasty too and had a lot of food. The dishes here are all pretty small so it’s good to share!Bad:I wasn’t as big of a fan of the pork belly buns since they had a bit too much spice and not enough flavor for me.Overall would come again since the service was really nice too!

A nice find in LA. Located inside a strip mall, this restaurant serves Korean-Italian fusion dishes that blow the mind of your tastebuds. They also serve regular Korean dishes such as 갈비찜 (Marinated braised beef rib), 치즈 떡볶이 (Cheese on rice cakes), Korean fried chicken. But, try the crazy fusion dishes first!Only downside is you’re required to use the valet for parking, if parking inside the strip mall. I didn’t find out until I had to go back to the car to get something. $3 for parking there whether or not you have them park your car for you. Oh well.Regardless of that surprise info, try the food!4.5 stars!

Tteok n cheese, bulgogi risotto, fried chicken. Plates to drool for. But lots of flies indoors? Otherwise will come back again and again.

Really unique flavors in both their main courses and desserts. Especially recommend their bap.

Have been wanting to try this place after seeing very inviting reviews - No Regrets! Food is extraordinary! Ordered the Oxy Ramen, very impressed with the flavor and the meat melts in your mouth. Looking forward to trying more on their menu. Friendly people, they take time to explain what is available, made me feel at home and welcomed.

Ok. I didn’t really know what to expect from Hanchic. I actually didn’t know that we were going to what I’m assuming is a Korean Gastropub in Los Angeles’ #KoreaTown. Well, I was pleasantly surprised. So I was told that the food was elevated Korean food. Not really sure what that means. But what We got at Hanchic was definitely worth the trip. I still don’t know if it would classify as Korean food, but whatever it was it was quite tasty. The flavors burst in your mouth and seasoning and the tenderness of the meat were incredible. There were a couple of dishes that I think really stood out. The braise oxtail which wrap in lettuce and other veggies and dip into different sauces was really tasty. There was also an oxtail soup with noodles which was also tasty and comforting. The fried wings were OK but it came with fried mung beans pancake looking things that was actually pretty damn good. The staff was very attentive and you were doing so this place is definitely worth a visit

Love everything we got. From the umami rice, to the bulgogi risotto. If we live here we would've gone here so often. Definitely recommend it!
