Our date night became so special. Wanted to come here from a long time and was finally able to make it. Every dish was so delicious. I enjoyed every spoonful. Staff is very sweet and helpful. Its a cute place.
Maybe I ordered the wrong things, but they were all recommended by the staff. The Jidori chicken Kara-age was primarily small pieces of chicken surrounded by lots of batter that retained a significant amount of cooking oil, and it left an unpleasant film in my mouth. The sashimi sampler featured of a bunch of rubbery white fish (like Sea Bream) with thick skin attached (yuck per my taste), a few nice pieces of tuna (delicious), and a couple of large scallops (delicious) for $50. We asked for more wasabi and soy, which never arrived. Overall the staff was nice, the location is good, and there are outside tables. I’ll probably give it another chance, but next time I’ll be sure to stick to grilled meats and premium sashimi, and avoid the sampler, and the fried stuff.
Amazing food. Make sure you try their spicy tofu or cucumber - the sauce is phenomenal. Gyoza are truly homemade and delicious too
Have been here twice and will definitely keep coming back to try more stuff (don't sleep on the Japanese menu). Most authentic Japanese place I've been to in LA and would not feel out of place having this in Japan (probably better than some of the izakayas i've been to in Japan).
Excellent service and food. Highly recommend the hot pot!!! Be sure to call ahead and make a reservation!
Amazing selection of japanese style izakaya foods. I also recommend the suntory premium malt beer to go along with these delicacies.
Great selection of dishes and beverages (they got that special thing you didn’t know would be your favorite), authentic Japanese atmosphere, friendly and helpful stuff. Can’t recommend it enough for get together especially if you love Japanese izakaya cusine.
