We came at the perfect time for lunch and were seated down immediately. The server was so polite and helpful. You circle what you would like and give it to the server. He doublechecked the list with us before he gave it to the chefs. I ordered the god fire with the flavored egg and level 2 spicy out of four. I am hispanic so I can handle the spiciness pretty well but it had my nose leaking lol. So I can't imagine the spicy level at its highest. It was full of flavor. We also ordered the karaage chicken to share. It was nice and juicy. I can't wait to go to Japan one day but I'm very grateful for this experience. The vibe was laid back. They had japanese music playing. I recognized some anime openings songs. You can see into the kitchen. Everything seemed cleaned. I would definitely recommend Hakata Ikkousha if you're visiting LA.
Tasty ramen. Nice broth choices for those who like spicy or not. Food comes out pretty quickly. Comes with green onion, cha shi, and shrooms.
Vegetable Ramen - as most use pork broth. However their ramen is really rich in flavor. The noodles feel fresh, broth is very light yet smells amazing.
This Ramen shop near the bustling street of Little Tokyo is a delightful place to stop and eat. It seems very authentic and like what you would find in Japan. The food was excellent and the price was very reasonable. I got the Mentaiko Tonkotsu Ramen with everything topping and I devoured it it was so good. My wife got the God Fire Ramen which was also delicious and had a good kick too it at spicy level 2. We also shared Karage too which was incredible and the sauce that came with it made the dish even better. 10/10, best Ramen I've had in Cali.
Remarkable. I only ordered three sides to go but you can tell each was made with prime ingredients. Ate the chicken kaarage without any sauce and I don't even have a single aftertaste of oil in my palate. I love finding places where the quality of ingredient is so high you don't even need to order that much, AND the juicy chicken was chopped very large despite only being three plan size pieces. Wow!
My favorite ramen in all of Los Angeles. THE top contender for BEST RAMEN IN THE CITY. The noodles are fresh, the broth is delicious and everything that goes on top just makes it an exceptional bowl of happiness. Also their chicken karaage is BOMB.
One of my favorite spots to eat. Always ask for the “all the sides” when you get your noodles. They have great water, my wife loves it, says she can taste the difference.
Top Ramen place #2 on my list! The Black Devil ramen will leave your mouth watering. It's a mixture of two different broths and you can choose the spicy level. You can sit at the bar and watch the cooks prepare your dish. I've been here a few times so far... if I lived closer I'd come here more than I should.
I have not been so wow'd by a bowl of ramen for so long! This place is amazing and I don't want to tell too many about it in case I have to wait in a long line next time I come...The hakata tonkotsu ramen is the most authentic ramen I've had outside of Japan. When the ramen was served in front of me, I was immediately hit by the amazing smell of tonkotsu broth. It was so rich yet so simple. There was no miso or dashi, just pure pork broth. The thin noodles were cooked to perfection and carried the flavor of the broth so well.We also got the black devil. We could barely taste the tonkotsu this time because it was packed with spice. Spiciest ramen I've ever had and it was so satisfying! Finally, shout-out to the staff! They worked very efficiently and are very polite!
The Black Devil ramen I ordered wasn't as tasty as the location in Torrance. However, I did add all toppings to the dish so that may have changed the flavor a bit. The spicy chicken karaage was super delicious. The waitress was nice and the business wasn't as busy that day. I would come back but get less toppings next time.
