There was no other sides available, I was told only mac and cheese which was old and not cheesy and string beans which the beans was crunchy like mini hard peas ..There was no desserts either and the fried chicken was very dry my son loves fried chicken and this is the 1st time he didn't eat it .
Pretty good overall. The greens were sweet and I prefer mine spicy and smokey. The Mac and cheese were bomb! The food and the service was good overall. Can't wait to try other menu items!
Smelled good as soon as I opened the door. Lady was very pleasant, courteous and friendly. Good looked freshly made.
So this place is OKAY. Definitely ghetto as hell. We ordered the Mac and cheese, meat loaf and spaghetti (which made me throw up) they never have have most all of the items listed which is disappointing. Greens were sour..my friend said the meatloaf was like dog food..and it didn't look good either..gravy separated into oil after it sat for a while. Never have peaxh cobbler which is always a let down. The plus is the corn muffins are the best part. And they take hot foods EBT. Been there a few times..now I'm looking for a new spot.
Absolutely delicious food, wonderful customer service and great price! 10/10 will come again. Highly recommended! The catfish nuggets were divine. The cornbread muffins were heavenly. The Mac n cheese was perfect.
Your food is off the chain I recommend oxtail neck bones and the green oh boy the cornbread baby look you need to do this go get them real facts and their prices is real real good I know I overspent what I was planning to the baby was all worth it you have a blessed day
I don't like Bad mouthing black businesses. Especially ones that have decent food.I will say this though. One word to focus on here. Consistency! One week the plate is jamming and full. Next week with a different person ringing and, packing plates. Not the same as last week but, still good. Keep the Consistency.
I would like to start off with saying customer service was at 100 for me. No matter how rude someone was or how busy it got the ladies was sooooo nice and calm and super sweet. And it actually felt like a granny and auntie in the kitchen loving what they do so I should’ve known the food was going to be AMAZING. I stopped by at lunch time I would have been in and out but I ordered a pork chop lunch with a baked chicken lunch and the pork chop had to be cooked fresh so it was about a 12 minute wait for that which was great because I only want a freshly cooked pork chop when I go to any restaurant. So with the pork chop meal I had Mac and cheese and yams. With the amazingly season perfectly cooked juicy baked chicken I had greens and rice and gravy. With cornbread muffins and free koolAid (where they do that at) I have ate at every soul food place in LA, Inglewood, Compton, Long Beach and so on and soooo onnnn and I must say so far for what I had today they are my new spot I will go to weekly. I only didn’t like 1 thing really and that was the small cups lol the koolAid so perfectly good we need more. I have to try the oxtails that is my favorite soul food meat and if those are amazing like the chicken then that seals the deal. It took me so long to try because of the bad reviews and I’m so mad at myself for listening because I was missing out. I pray the oxtails are good
There food was to salty, and there greens were sweet like if they cooked them with sugar. And they were out of cornbread.
My cousin told me about this place also my nephew finally got a chance to come in and get a plate you didn't have the pork chops and I'll catch you later but I did have the fried chicken? mac and cheese? and Black Eyed Peas? cook with perfection keep up the good work you will see me again bless Granny's Kitchen you guys are awesome????
