Very busy place. Went there twice in one day. Morning time was seeing 9am, place was already buzzing with people. Found some awesome food and very tasty. Second time was around 7pm. A bit more packed, but still able to get something to eat and enjoy the surroundings. A must visit with so many different options in foods!
I visited Grand Central Market over the course of a few days as I was on jury duty. Since I was here during the week it was nice not to experience the weekend crush of people. The weekdays give you breathing room. All the food here is excellent. The papusas are your best bet if you're on a budget.I had the drunken noodles from the sticky rice joint, everything was delicious but the meat. I wanted chicken but it wasn't ready (lunch time and meat is not ready???) OK so I substituted for the beef. The beef was so chewy I ended up just tossing it to the side and eating my noodles vegetable style. I don't recommend their beef unless you want to spend your lunch hour chewing hide.I ate from the taco joint as you enter from Broadway. I can't say it was spectacular. The lady cashier wasn't thankful for the tips people dropped in the jar. I recommend going to another one of the many taco joints further in before eating at the first one you come to.I was visually drawn to the donuts on the Broadway side, they looked amazing! I passed it up because I didn't want to go into a sugar coma while in the jury box. I will definitely get one on my next visit down.It was safe eating out on the streets. You get some unsavory looking people walking by but they have security around there. It's all good.If you walk around, just be aware that there is poop on the sidewalks. It's a fine balance between admiring the beautiful Downtown LA architecture and looking down to maneuver around feces.Enjoy!
The smells! The freaking smells drive you mad. Everything smells so delicious. Plenty of options for your taste palette. I got the tacos, and boy were they HUGE! They have a nice little merch station in the middle of the market. Highly recommend if you're in downtown LA and want all the options under one roof.
A foodie paradise all under one roof. Food brings cultures together in an amazing way. At Grand Central Market, you have a taste of L.A., a solid mix of foods from different corners of Los Angeles.Lively vibe, upbeat. Bustling with life. A happy place to be.
Great variety of authentic cuisines, fun lively atmosphere, affordable prices.
Enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Grand Central Market last week on our way through the desert. The Philipino rice bowls were amazing. We also enjoyed tamales, donuts, and PB&Js which we saved for later. Parking was simple and in the heart of the historic district. 10/10 would visit again.
Great food hall. Tons of selections. Was hard to coordinate ordering with the group since all stands take a different amount of time. Would be helpful if they used pagers for notifying when the order is ready so you can gather with your group.
I sincerely thank God for directing me to such a legitimate expert trader, called Mrs Peggy Abbott For her perfect and wonderful trading techniques, I invested with the little I was having, $1,500 and $10,000 profit in a short while, I highly recommend her to anyone who truly want to trade on Forex investment., she guided me through my registration and trade for me and my profits were paid-out successfully. The market itself is great, good food, clean loads of choice but it is unfortunately surrounded by a neighbourhood which is a dystopian nightmare of aggressive begging meth addicts and the stench of urine. Not suitable for lone females.
Super fun place. Lots of people and felt a little strange and not that Covid safe… but I don’t know how you could improve a huge market with drinks and food everywhere. But that being said, it’s awesome because there is every kind of food and drinks everywhere. It’s awesome!
